Well andy and wilky got treat to a bit of hero driving in the saxo.....on standard suspension....in the wet  my arse was clenching as I slung it round, wasnt expecting to make it tbh
Them deserts were awesome though, loved the banter with andy putting his foot right in it......radio code...
I dont know what was wrong with how mine were set up but I didn't rate my spax at all, on a smooth road they were fantastic, throw a bump into the mix and the rear end was very harsh (track set up) they creaked and the rubber boots that stop any s**t getting down into the shocks were split after...
Here you go, thats all you need to see, think theres another lad with white 2118's on it that looks sweet (clio-stu)

Try something different mate, 2118's have been done to death, turbins IMO dont suit mk2's and willy wheels look very cool however been done a lot, same as pro race 1.2's, superlegerra's, ultraleggeras etc. Surely there must be some other wheel out there that looks good :)
Was a good meet tonight lads and 'lass'.
Nice to see some new faces and all that, hope you all had some good banter and enjoyed yourselves.
Hope you all have a good christmas!!!
Not ready yet is it, although neither is steve's, atleast we know his was capable of 375 bhp back a long time ago now haha
I'd imagine the supercharged clio's will be quicker over a 1/4 mile as the power delivery is much smoother, however over a mile I can see the turbo's catching back up no...
Love all of the cars in this thread, cub - yours needs some darker wheels on now, I love flamers on cup packed 182 wheels (anthracite) think they look really nice and dont stray too far away from the standard'ish outside theme
All the ones posted so far look awesome, love your wheels marc, one of my wheels has a tiny kerb mark on it so need to get it sent up to the guy who did yours as the match looks great
It would be great fun to get all of the fastest clio's down to somewhere like bruntinthorpe and get some times for them all, all great having the power but useless if you can't use it :), I'm sure it would get some interest from magazines etc
Dont know why but this popped up in 'related threads'
Thought it would be fun to get an update of this 6 years down the line, now that things have 'moved on a bit'
So who do we think has potentially the fastest 172/182?
My money is on either AndyRG, Wilkyway, Craigs Sunflower or T.Trophy's...
High 5!

lol best wheels for a clio? Yes IMO, they look cool and they're easy to clean (I'm lazy)
Not sure if there has been any particular thread that had all the trophies on the forum in it, would love to see what other owners have done to theirs.
I'll make a start.

Yep, happened to my saxo the other day, upgraded brakes and got some pads 'given' to fit, after 3 days the pad had came away from the backing plate and was making a hell of a racket.
Speedline 2110 Challenge wheels in 16" mate.
Hard to get a hold of these days, would love another set of them, plenty more pics of the car on them wheels somewhere in my past threads :)
Sounds like potential play in the steering rack mate.
Havent read every reply just replying to the Op.
If thats been checked and its ok then the shock absorbers may be past their best.
Could be anything mate, if its a driveshaft it will do it at any speed or when you're turning, try doing a 3 point turn using full lock from side to side whilst the wheels are turning and listen out for any knocking/clicking noises.
A wobble could also come from worn engine mounts especially if...
I've got a 182 manifold there for £60 in good condition if you didnt want to faff on changing bumpers/extending pipes etc.
If it hasnt got a manifold on I'm guessing the subframe has been off at some point so shouldnt be too hard to remove again
A few of my ph2's I've owned and modified, all bought completely standard and modified by me. Sorry theres so many pics of the silver one, it had many different looks you may all be interested in seeing.

A friend of mine has just bought a 172 cup, it appears to have had a new key at some point and wont let the car start.
It fits the barrell properly and turns all the way round as it should, however when you do this, the immobiliser light flashes very quickly and doesnt let the car crank over...
I've got man flu, but I'm still coming to spread my disease :D
Anyone fancy going down the carvery if theres only a few of us 'hardcore' members turn up?
