Chip - Why do you say cams are dead money? Do you mean you pay the money they're in and it will cost you similar costs to remove them than you'd get back if you sold them?
Surely when the RS2 is removed if you're selling up you'll still have to go back to the original place that mapped it and...
Picked this up last week from Will down in York.
Sadly Will ventured into some deep water and the clio's engine didnt take too kindly to it, so it's not running at the moment.
The spec however is this...from memory
47k Miles 55 Plate
Gaz GHA Coilovers
K&N Panel Filter
RS192 Full System with...
Think I'll do that mate, I was just going to do a bit of measuring and take some angles etc and just give them to someone to knock up. Do you think you could just modify the OMP subframe or start from scratch?
Can you tell us what the immobiliser light it doing? Does it flash when you turn the key or stay flat red?
Usually when these cars are left for a while the ecu/immobilisers do funny things
Never read so much s**t in my life.
1. Chip, shorten your replies they take ages to read
2. Buy a turbo if you want big torque
3. Before you buy either try your best to go out in both cars 'cammed' and 'RS2'd'. It's all down to personal driving style, if you want something that needs less...
Hope someone can help,
My car currently has cobra seats fitted with sidemounts and omp frames, I've had 2 different bucket seats in the past in clio's both using an omp frame and I find I just sit too close to the steering wheel.
Has anyone done/made anything so the seat can sit further...
Looks canny that mate, get those gangsta tints out and that cliosport sticker off and it will look sweet, the old one is improving day by day, just about to spunk £1500-2000 on a full on rebuild for it ;)
I love hartside Piers, it's literally my second home. I love going up the mountain from alston as you dont need to brake too much and can hustle the clio chassis all the way up, then from the cafe down to penrith is phenominal. I love the closeness to the walls etc.
I tend to go up in the dark...
Looks like you've tidied it up a lot more with the new bit of hose mate, still, I prefer the maxogen as everything fits very well and doesn't rub at all.
The beast is still looking good mate, although quite dirty!!!
My bro was just saying the other day how he wished he hadn't sold it, so he just bought a trophy
Believe me, I was looking seriously at the turbo cooper s, from having a supercharged one I know the chassis is good, however once you do your research on the engine you'll sharp change your mind
It seems you're just side stepping into cars which are going to depreciate more over the next year than your 182 will.
Maybe do a few trackdays or something in the 182 to get a bit more fun from it, you're not going to gain anything in performance going from the 182 to a mini or vxr or 197...
AST's are a pain in the arse mate, the bolts always snap inside the top mounts so they're a ball ache to get out.
I cant remember how much the Pure kit is, however you've got to drill the strut turret out to fit them and I dont fancy drilling holes in my car anymore lol.
Johnny has the trophy now, I've bought another BG with 47k on it :)..shouldn't have really broken the first BG as I had a fault wrongly diagnosed as terminal issue's but it turned out not to be.....after I'd stripped half of the car....I'd spent around £2-300 trying to fix the fault and I'd just...
I take it it's from the centre of the holes and not top to bottom?
It seems like a daft question but without knowing what suspension it has is going to leave me with a right ball ache when choosing my suspension set up.
Just a quick one for people that may have enquired before, is it possible to go to the dealers to find out whether your car came with cup packs?
Basically I've bought a 182, however its got different suspension, splitter is missing and different wheels, it does however have the cup spoiler on...
In order of stiffness it goes Trophy>Cup>Normal.
So to answer your question, the cup ones are stiffer and are prone to failing after around 60-70k miles if not earlier if it's had a hard life.
