Looks like you've had a nice selection there and the new 200 looks to be a good spec, I've stopped counting how many clio's I've had now as it's a joke. They're addictive unfortunately.
The thing I dont understand is what is euro about it apart from the wheels? If you put a set of turini's on it, it wont look euro anymore.
Imo the euro thing (which was about 4-5 years ago btw) is a less is more approach, smooth, subtle touches with many lows and a good set of wheels.
To get...
Yozza system's have flanges on all of the joins, I can't see your pics but I'm guessing someone has bought a de-cat with a sleeve flange on there and modified the centre accordingly. What I would say if you are going to weld a flange on there, is make sure you make it the correct length...
Wish you'd said something sooner mate as I've just arranged to go down south for the weekend, good to see people are still keen to go out driving and I'll certainly be in for the next driving meet you do....try a few weeks more notice next time though ;)
Eibach's with a whiteline RARB is a very good set up and keeps the car practical for day to day use. A mate of mine has new cup dampers on his and it handles really nicely.
Yeah mate I've seen what they charge, it's not cheap however if you buy a trophy you've already got them ;)
To do the swap on a 172 to trophy suspension is just not feasable as you've got to get new track rods, hubs, shafts etc.
I've already had the spax track day kit on my last 182 and...
So you honestly think that spending £500 would eclipse a trophy in the handling department? If that was the case why didnt renault just do that?
I've been in AST equipped cars on a back road and they just dont go as well as a trophy with fresh dampers on them, you can argue all you want, I've...
Depends if you'd drive it properly or just use it to go backwards and forwards to the shops.
The trophy has fantastic suspension and its better than any other clio suspension I've driven on the road, the track may be a little different when the surface is completely smooth.
People will tell...
I'm sure we could get a few of us at an RR day to whip our induction kits off and stick them on a standard 1*2 to do a few power runs.
Something like a standard filter, panel filter replacement, v6 box, ktec and maxogen.
It would be better to do an independant test not someone who has an interest in selling the product themselves.
IIRC v6/ph1 airbox gives around a 2bhp peak gain but loses torque on the bottom end. I much prefer enclosed filters as the noise isnt as much as an open cone, I do like the look of...
ITG Maxogen every time for me.
There is a power graph of mine with a before and after from having a yozza and ITG maxogen fitted. Gained considerably through the mid range alone and would've seen even more gains if it had been remapped. I cant remember where the thread is of the graph, I'll...
Dawn, you really need to get your arse up north and get leeroy's trophy bought. Its had all the special things done, its been detailed and has just hit 60k miles.
I know the car and it really is the trophy to buy at the moment, lee doesnt spare any expense on it and it's had all the little...
Another top tip for you guys using a 'specialist'. Do a little research on your chosen specialist first, just because they may do plenty of belt changes doesnt make them an expert.....as I found out...the expensive way.
Now I travel from durham to birmingham to see Fred@BTM to get any major...
It looks s**t, thats whats wrong mate lol.
If he spent a little time removing the polish from the front splitter, removing the tints, rear mud flaps, wrap from the bonnet and getting the wheels done black it would sell in no time at all
I imagine the weight of the box in the boot and the road conditions are what added to the rear end coming out they probably moved in the boot as you turned shifting the weight distribution, glad you corrected it though, could've been messy especially as thats quite a busy road as well
