Not sure but you could save a lot I bought the k-tec kit over 2 year's ago. I could of done it cheaper depend's if you want new or not bothered about second hand part's,someone on here got a turbo, log manifold and a couple of other bit's from ebay last week for not that much.
Have a word with stevie h now T.Trophy on here, he's had a few different set up's on his was running over 370 but he's doing another build now it's going to be epic. He's help me out a few time's with problem's ive had
I think a lot of people are keeping an eye on it with hope it come's off not many like the 172 box. Not bad of a price if its that considering the work that has to go in.
I think he runs one on his fr4 in a 5 turbo but is doing a kit for customers, but still developing mounts and other things i know nothing about if he does this i will be intrested aswell if its not fortune's but i would need it fitting aswell.
Yes the diff's are'nt cheep stevie ran his with 370 with the dci box in, not sure whats different scoff's doing a vag box conversion there's a thred on here some where i've been keeping an eye on it for a price for next year.
You've got a bit going on there did you not try the DCi JC5-128 box ive been told there ok for over 300 but you have to weld the cir clip in.bet the honda engine will make the clio shift.
900bhp bets thats mental to drive, aye you must know your stuff so have you done any thing with a clio engine yet? or will you be would be intresting to see what you could do if you can do that with a vauxhall engine. There's some nice clio build's on here.
That look's a canny build, like i say im not a mechanic that looks like what they have done aswell. I wanted one of them red tops out of the calibra turbo put in my corsa gsi years ago when the belts went would of been epic, went for the astra gsi insted then got a calibra turbo not long after.
I was actully told this off a trader on here who has built many of engine's including my new one, just car'nt remeber what was said not going to get into an argument but they had alot of work to do to get it to work they had problems with boost leak i might not know as much as you but know what...
No track day's but is driven hard just don't rush the gear's, going to track it next year though. One problem with box was a leak had the box looked at and it was fine apart from the leak that was 1 week ago.
I think itb's have to be sealed some how because you will lose boost pressure through them K-tec done there car with them on. I would just go low boost Paul RS Tuning can map your standard ecu to run low boost, if you pm me your email i have a fitting guide for the low boost kit from k-tec i...
My engine has lasted 2 years on standard internals with a low boost turbo running 228 bhp. Still on the same gearbox aswell so i think his might last a bit longer than people think it's going to.
It is easier to put it in a 172 not sure if your's is one of the first 197 with a 225 lump in ? Owen's new one will be awesome when he's finished,he'll be straight on to it when he's finished with your's.
