They haven't been deployed, but that's not to say the ecu doesn't believe they haven't. Diagnostics gets rid of most of the codes. But a couple are permanent.
I have resistors in every plug that had an airbag which was doing the job. Then after the last MOT airbag light came on and wouldn't go out. On diagnostics check all the airbags and pretensioners have codes and a couple are permanent.
I've bought the cleaner. I was looking at one sealant product in particular http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/gyeon-q2-rim-cat15.html
But i know what will happen if i do it. It'll last 2 wheels rather than them all and the fact it'll take 24 hours to cure. or i could try one of the others.
The exact reason I did it lol I did speak to the MOT place first and they said "if it doesn't come on I can't see there's a problem. It'll just be an advisory that it doesn't come on"
I'm guessing you're talking about poor boys wheel sealant?
I've just ordered some valetpro bilberry wheel cleaner and I already have ironx and fallout remover.
It's just a case of finding a good sealant as Dave mentions.
I basically have satin black wheels which i bought brand new. They've always been sealed with poor boys wheel sealant but some reason i'm getting white glazing on the paint.
I'm not sure what this is so I'm hoping a decent wheel cleaner will remove the sealant and hopefully the white glazing...
Basically I have no airbags in the car and resistors fitted, but for some reason the serv and airbag lights are still on and on plugging in a diagnostics say that all the airbags have deployed...
Can CLIP remove all airbags and pretensioners from the system to have the lights come on and go off...
I didn't because I'm a muppet lol it is on the agenda. as for the harnesses they're quick release, I've tried but they don't seem to split to allow me to mount them on the cage.
Well the cage is finally fitted, though due to my slight incompetence i need to respray it. also the rear carbon fibre door cards are fitted.
So it's getting there albeit eventually...
A little update…cage is all sprayed ready for the spreader plates to be welded in then fitted.
Door cards are on the way along with cup racer handle spacers and TTV racing lightened flywheel. So when I get the new clutch they'll go on together.
I ordered a set of power flex steering rack...
That sounds more like actual cv joint. I'd take the wheel off and make sure your hub nut is done to the correct torque.
Whilst you're there you can check the other components such as track rod ends and the steering rack bushes like dan says.
Didn't have the fuel lol otherwise i would've. Still hopefully if the peterborough meet is going ahead next saturday I'll be going if not later in the month
the 4 pt w/ cross and harness bars much the same as yours i think? yer it's doing ok. hopefully sorting out a lightened flywheel too for when the new clutch goes in.
I did mate yes, got some carbon fibre door cards on the way too. Hopefully i'll finish spraying the cage tomorrow, then I just need the spreader plates welding in.
