Electric mirrors and carbon door cards

and electric windows. How have people got around this? Is swapping to manual and cutting a hole the answer?

    Airbag ECU removal

They haven't been deployed, but that's not to say the ecu doesn't believe they haven't. Diagnostics gets rid of most of the codes. But a couple are permanent.

    Dial needle test

I have resistors in every plug that had an airbag which was doing the job. Then after the last MOT airbag light came on and wouldn't go out. On diagnostics check all the airbags and pretensioners have codes and a couple are permanent.

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

I've bought the cleaner. I was looking at one sealant product in particular http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/gyeon-q2-rim-cat15.html But i know what will happen if i do it. It'll last 2 wheels rather than them all and the fact it'll take 24 hours to cure. or i could try one of the others.

    Dial needle test

The exact reason I did it lol I did speak to the MOT place first and they said "if it doesn't come on I can't see there's a problem. It'll just be an advisory that it doesn't come on"

    Thank you. All sorted now.

    Dial needle test

Is there someway to test the position of the needles as I've taken mine off for to cover the airbag light but have put them in the wrong position.

    The ultimate wheel cleaner?

I'm guessing you're talking about poor boys wheel sealant? I've just ordered some valetpro bilberry wheel cleaner and I already have ironx and fallout remover. It's just a case of finding a good sealant as Dave mentions.

    The ultimate wheel cleaner?

Thanks dave. Is this likely to remove the white glazing too? I'm not even sure what it is I just know it's not black any more. lol

    The ultimate wheel cleaner?

I basically have satin black wheels which i bought brand new. They've always been sealed with poor boys wheel sealant but some reason i'm getting white glazing on the paint. I'm not sure what this is so I'm hoping a decent wheel cleaner will remove the sealant and hopefully the white glazing...

    Airbag ECU removal

Basically I have no airbags in the car and resistors fitted, but for some reason the serv and airbag lights are still on and on plugging in a diagnostics say that all the airbags have deployed... Can CLIP remove all airbags and pretensioners from the system to have the lights come on and go off...

BG182 and not a lot more.

I didn't because I'm a muppet lol it is on the agenda. as for the harnesses they're quick release, I've tried but they don't seem to split to allow me to mount them on the cage.

BG182 and not a lot more.

Well the cage is finally fitted, though due to my slight incompetence i need to respray it. also the rear carbon fibre door cards are fitted. So it's getting there albeit eventually...

    Steering

So you're saying you have a non pas steering rack with electric assistance?
  25. 182_Adam

BG182 and not a lot more.

A little update…cage is all sprayed ready for the spreader plates to be welded in then fitted. Door cards are on the way along with cup racer handle spacers and TTV racing lightened flywheel. So when I get the new clutch they'll go on together. I ordered a set of power flex steering rack...

    Steering

That sounds more like actual cv joint. I'd take the wheel off and make sure your hub nut is done to the correct torque. Whilst you're there you can check the other components such as track rod ends and the steering rack bushes like dan says.

    MK Meet. December/January

I did mate yes, got some carbon fibre door cards on the way too. Hopefully i'll finish spraying the cage tomorrow, then I just need the spreader plates welding in.
