only time falkland have even looked at it was when it was on the rollers. so think you have your wires crossed somewhere.
the car which was sold to phil was the exact car which i recieved from gdi last summer - nobody has worked on it apart from an oil...
who mentioned power wash?
i certainly didnt.
might be that the car sat for months on end without actually being run that caused the corrosion. hence damp and not druying out - resulting in corrosion.
certainly the ecu was never opened up by me - i had no reason to, there was no problem with the car when i finally got it back (4th time lucky) - however we wont go into that again, so put your handbags away ladies.
im an engineer not an electronics specialist..... dont know the first thing...
when my car is so dirty i need a bucket then i'll start to worry.
never had any problems with any wash mit - the worst thing you can use is a spounge fella
was gonna say i think its blue
but i dont know if im right in saying its just a standard plug phil?
the renault one was changed when i was tidying up the wiring, im sure there should be a reciept for it there phil just to double check i did the renault one.
i'd get onto gdi about for the sensor fella.
as per your previous post for the temp sensor on the dash - that sensor is fitted after the thermostat, therefor it reads minimum until the thermostat opens up when the water in the block reaches temp. This is fine - its supposed to do that.
as...
crank sensor is also new though fella - again could be.....
id say coil pack or leads although i did get a few healty shocks off them the other day so there is something going through it!
must just of missed you fella......
got held up on the m8 this morning with an accident or i would of been there sooner.
im sure i'll catch up with you some time though.
the earth was so bad i had a constant rumble come from the sub which also made the car seem so much louder on the inside..... lol
i though i was hearing things when i first discovered it!
battery was changed 4 months ago along with all the amp etc removed and it now starts fine! think i had a bad earth on the amp which was draining the battery all the time.
