On my mk1 golf it was possible to fit spacers between the stub axle and beam to increase the rear track, i havent investigated this area on the clio yet, is the same thing possible?
Replacing my worn s/wheel with a nicer one, have disconnected the battery and undone the 2 bolts at the back of s/wheel. There is now a black/white thick wire in the way and i am unsure which end to disconnect it as i dont want to break it, on the airbag end or s/wheel end, its not obvious to...
Got mine up for sale on here, had no interest, and now im glad, been using it instead of locking it away every time it rains, now its not for sale, its brilliant.
Ok i happened to have some used spare injectors so thought it was worth trying them, put them in and although i havent test driven it yet it seems better. One thing i discovered though was the phase 2 fuel injector rail dosnt fit even though it appears to have the same part no, and i managed to...
Driving along at 50 mph , went to accelerate and nothing there, dropped a gear and it dosnt want to rev, now i realise it sounds as if its firing on 3. Got it home and changed plugs, no difference, tried removing ht leads one at a time from the coil but couldnt find any difference, any...
Dont know what it can take but it can produce big power as it has the large port cyl head, also has the larger gudgeon pin, 20mm as opposed to 19mm i believe,
Keep the pictures coming, i would quite like to do the vag swap but want to keep it as an everyday car with full interior including dash with a working speedo.
IM NOT KICKING UP SUCH A FUSS, i said after removing it that it wasnt so bad, and its not a 2 minute job really is it, i still think its poor design, the vw abf engine which is a similiar design allows plug removal between the runners.
As my engine is approaching 60,000 thought i would do the plugs, wasnt too bad, 20 mins to remove manifold and plugs (havent fitted new ones yet) while under here i see some one has written RS on the sam cover, any relevance?, cheers.
Had the clio 4 months now and only drove it so far so today (suns shining) decided to remove the engine cover and have a look, cannot see the spark plugs, do you really have to remove the manifold to get to them? what a stupid design, cannot see me living with that, hate removing one part to get...

Loves a bit strong but i like it because its small and nippy, quite like the overall shape, it blends in with the traffic, and lots of potential for making it faster.
