How are you meant to tension this cambelt tensioner? *pic inside*

Are you holding the tab on the back static when you move the tensioner?

Replacing Drivers Side Outer CV Boot

Better off taking the shaft out and doing it properly removing the cv joint etc if you're going to the trouble of getting the shaft ready to come out. You won't loose the box oil on the drivers side either. And make sure you use decent clips that are properly tight or the grease will just make...

    My 225 Updates

On another note, do not fit a walbro pump to a 225 with the oem power feed. :( £340 later she'll be reet. Kicking myself I should've picked up on it when the fuse blew, took the fuse and the UPC board this time. Lesson learnt, i've been the unknowning test donkey and its bit me. Bet the...

Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project [Year 3 - Engine and Chassis Rebuild]

Cool, i'm not picking just i've seen them leak due to not being done/not enough. So thought it worth mentioning.

    My 225 Updates

Next up I had the k-tec hard pipe kit i'd been umming and arring about for ages to fit to got to it. As usual a million things had to come off :dapprove:. Front end off and old pipes/hoses removed. However, as I feared and the trend became it wasn't going to be completely plain sailing...

    My 225 Updates

Righto few picture and bits and bobs to sort. Had a problem with the fuel gauge not working above 2/3 after having the walbro fitted at rstuning, was down to the sender being clipped on in the wrong position and not having a full sweep of travel. So let the tank run right down to fumes them...

Looking good, no silicone on the no.1 cap and oil pump plate joints before putting the sump on?

    Brake master cylinders ?

Yes different master cylinder. If you don't want it then better off selling the car and buying a cup, its not a simple delete.

    My 225 Updates

Been a while since i've done any dc motor theory but it depends on the type of motor used in the walbro. Which i'm not sure on?

    Renaultsport Recaros into 182 Cup?

Seats fit but you'll need subframes to suite the clio. And a clio seatbelt buckle as the pretensioner connections are different. And then someone to disable your side airbags to take the light off. Clio 2 or 3?

fitted sub and amp, now no radio or clock!

First thing you should do when working on a cars electrics like this is disconnect the battery. Saves all that sort of crap and the potential for damaging something expensive.

    My 225 Updates

Exactly, thats what worries me. I've heard of them breaking with vibration etc but not blowing. Went through everything and I couldn't find anything wrong either :dapprove:, although its difficult to tell whats its 100% actually feeding due to the way its all done internally in the switching and...

    My 225 Updates

One of the 30A battery fuses had blown and cut the supply to the switching+protection unit, £3 later and shes a runner again. Can't find anything wrong to make it blow though so i'm hoping it was just old fuse and it'd had enough, still i'm keeping extras in the car now! Would've had to have...

New suspension, clunking - settling in?

7700434126 is the part number for them. As long as the dampers offer good uniform resistance throughout their travel theres no need to change them.
  27. B

New suspension, clunking - settling in?

    I'd change them tbh they're only around £10 a side mark but i'm a terrible perfectionist :o.

New suspension, clunking - settling in?

The sleeve/bumpstop or the top mount rubber like the picture you posted above?
  29. B

    A few omex questions..

All the old omex installs are like that as the standard ecu isn't receiving a lot of data it thinks it should be. The newer EC1 install thats tour de force do eliminate this and are generally much more tidyier. Rev limiter will be whatever its set in the map.
