ever booted it away from the Traffics

lol....i would have been 30. and this kind of thread was pretty tame back then tbh.

So, who's looking forward to the 2013 Mk4 Renaulsport Clio Williams 230 1.6t Cup?

depends what you drive tbh. 85% max torque from 2500 rpm ftw. ;)

What do you guys think of these?

lol.....oh the irony... you need to stop throwing stones with english like that.

    Should I buy a Valver?

    with a halfrauds bodykit ;)

    Should I buy a Valver?

yeah a valver is a great base. for s**ts n giggles, i loved mine. the diff between the p and r tho is far more than the few bhp/torque figure suggests. as you rightly say, driving ability is a far better thing to have. just imagine what the driver of the f7p you were so impressed with would do...

    Should I buy a Valver?

every r iv bought.....and thatd be quite a few over the years..... has been perfectly fine. except 1 that had been stood for 3 years, with no oil in, and given to some hooligan to drive home....i guess i just cant resist trying to shove the acc pedal through the floor ;).....that was replaced by...

    Should I buy a Valver?

theres nothing wrong with admitting inferiority mate ;) the f7p is the base , the f7r being the finished article. its like saying a 16" black and white tv is better than an all singing all dancing 50" lcd/plasma/3d tv. theres nothing wrong with the p, but its left lacking in some...

    Should I buy a Valver?

6 bhp from all that work? id get it rechecked tbh mate. would have been cheaper/easier to fit an f7r and got more power straight off the bat ;)
  11. 2

    Should I buy a Valver?

low miler not really needed on f7r. they are pretty much bulletproof.. in my experience anyway. and iv had quite a few.

    Should I buy a Valver?

get it bought lad ;) not as tail happy on LOO as the 6, will be just as quick if its up to 155, which is 17 over std. might even have had the benefit of having had the better f7r transplant, williams/megane block. by far a much better engine than the f7p std in the valvers, and i also think...

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

and lighter/thinner glass etc. pro troll......il need to join your club then huh?? you talk bullshit non stop, you spam all the time. raw heaps, was your statement. for them to be raw now, they will have to be stripped of driver aids etc. which the cars listed are to some extent.

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

and you talk non stop bollox see the quote ;)

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

but compared to some on here, the focus, the astra etc etc arent hot hatches anymore, cos they are in a different class to the clio cos they cost more. a hot hatch was just that, a hatchback model of a car, that was breathed on by the manufacterers. be it 10k or 50k. but to throw you a...

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

lol..some of the 205s also had pas too.....sooo....hmmm still....pas or not. its not exactly a driver aid in the sense abs/tc/esp etc etc etc is, weight is good, it doesnt detract from the driver being in control rather than the cars computers.....go figure and heavy...

    KTR Ultra Performance Decat

    both sound s**t tbh.
  18. 2

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

you do have a valid point re the regs etc. but im sure there are cars still being produced with no abs, no esp, no tc....basically all the shitty aids that turn 1/2 decent drivers into the next fangio........in their head and the cars computers.
  19. 2

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

lol... the 205 is a hell of a lot more involving......did it move the game on??? in terms of driver adjustability....not really no......the adjustability has been there since the days of the mini. the 205 however did take it to the next step. LOO was far easier to come by and the extra...
  20. 2

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

completely opposite tbh. the ipod is smaller, and clips more of the sound. the walkman is bigger but you get the full spectrum of sound. sound quality is arguably better than the walkman. the 200 is bigger and destroys the 'driver' feeling of the car. which is ultimately what a 'hot hatch'...
  21. 2

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

no. but then i dont think theres a massive diff between the mk1 gti, mk1 festa supersport etc up to the 205. i mean granted. the 205 was another level in terms of outright speed, but drivability??? the 1 car that really moved the game on in leaps and bounds was the mini, then the cooper and...
  22. 2

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

so basically youv given a s**t example. u now realise this and are backtracking. another example of how bad yours was. is the rs3.1 capri in their list. a great car revered by many. but thats not what this is about. it is about MY opinion, and yours, and everyone who replies to this thread...

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

lol. bristols 'only good in a few ppls view' the cizettas have been awesome cars, pure sex to look at, mostly, fast as fook. maybe its time you learnt a little bit of petrolhead history before you slate other peoples opinions and hide behind the 'evo is godlike and all knowledgeable' bullshit...
  24. 2

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

imo the 309 knocked the 205 off top spot. this is another forgotten car. which is also NOT just my opinion. many other ppl think this too. the valver is a forgotten car because its overshadowed by the williams. pretty much like the 1600ti sunbeam is a forgotten car, overshadowed by the lotus...
  25. 2

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

and the williams is a better car than a zonda. evo said it so must be true? but yet anyone quotes that and they get slated. selective belief on whos part?
  26. 2

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

they did that WITH the valver. the valver was quicker, handled better, was comfier, better all round really. they built the williams to take advantage of the rallying regs upgrading from 1800 cc limit to 2.0 litre. so williams was built purely for homolgomation purposes. moving the game on...
  27. 2

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

bare to the bones fun? no abs, no tc, no esp.....no driver aids, fast, handled well, soooo much fun. sounds like a williams to me.
  28. 2

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

309 over 205 any day of the week tbh.
  29. 2

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

the 309 was a much more refined place to be. handled better, was just as quick , give or take a few tenths to 60 etc. nothing youd really notice. roomier, comfier, an all round quicker a-b back road weapon. and i dont own A williams....i have 2.....;) i own the williams'es above all the...
  30. 2

    interesting argument. (can of worms)

so that would make my opinion better than everybody elses??? ;) out of the 205, 309 gti, golf gti, all the ford xr/rs models, the sunbeams, the allegro equipe that iv either owned or driven, and the new-er reno sport range 172/182/197/200/r26 etc ...... the keys id be picking...
