thats like saying a bang and olufson 42 inch tv is not in the same class as a pioneer 50 inch.....they are both tvs, obviously 1 is considerably more than the other, and has better quality. but they both classed as tvs. a hot hatch, fairly quick hatchback, is just that , a car thats fairly...
ibiza cupra...how do they compare..0-6- 7 secs, 140 top end...not bad for a 1.4
lol...its a hot hatch.....clios, golfs, focus, always been in the same class.
quickest car in its class?? not sure tbh. how does the focus rs measure up?? the cooper s? the astra vxr??
as for price. yeah they are cheap compared to the others in their class, but then you can tell in the way they are built. 15k tho??? thought they were more like 16.5.
yeah..but not to steve it seems lol
theres plenty cars can be bought for less than 15k that will stay with the 200. maybe not new. but hey. newer not always better ;)
the cup was never as bad as the ff 172. iv always stated if i had to have a 172 it would be a cup. if i had to have a 182 it would be a trophy. i wouldnt even have a 197 tbh. the 200.... well...its still not giving reno the edge they had in the hot hatch market with cars like the gtt , valver...
at the time i drove it....i was well into my minis mate....so the brakes felt pretty good to me lol. compared to the minis that is lol. and yeah i liked the 309. almost as quick, handled better. the 1.6 205 was all btm end tho, the 1.9 liked to rev a lot more n felt loads better top end...
yes i have mate. not far off tbh in terms of fun. maybe a little twitchy. i always prefered the 309 gti tho tbh. a lot more stable. probably due to the longer wheelbase. still both very good cars to drive.
like i said. was a test drive. you can set the car up with the throttle and weight transfer sometimes you know.;) later on i was doing it moreso to try and get the back end to step out a little. it didnt happen tho.
problem with his review? none other than the fact he seems to change his mind every other post. 1st the vee is best cos its fastest, it owns every other rs. then the 200 cup is best cos it goes round a roundabout a bit quicker, then the trophy is best cos its cheaper lol. he cant comment on 2 of...
lol @ test drives......me 'test driving' a 172 ;)

somewhere else i didnt know...as you will probably be able to tell....in a car i didnt know. 1st drive of car and track.....btw there was an ex clio cup car behind me getting smaller and smaller....lol
you say the best is the trophy, or is it the 200? i cant keep track lol, yet you cant comment on the williams or 172 cup. 2 of the very best rs es. maybe you should give them a try and come to a proper, well informed conclusion.
but then you say the 200 is best. in terms of value for...
maybe we own that certain car because things havent moved all all that much?? i mean obviously the brakes/safety features have moved on, but in terms of actual FUN/DRIVABILITY they havent moved on all that much at all. iv driven the 172s, 182s, trophy, v6, 200s. i just find they rely too much...
yeah cos drag racings an olympic sport...i never said it was exact timings. i said roughly. the evidance is in front of your eyes yet you still dispute it. not like you to try cause arguments....especicially with my posts now is it??

only 2 vids i can find of mine before the mods. the cam car in 2nd vid was weights....stripped hybrid, later became known as the nana. i hit...
hmmmm i remember scaring lee half to death when i took him round oulton in the willy lol. even he admitted the willy was the quicker car on the day.....and it was way down on power running an 1800 head . i was trying to keep flan off my back bumper at the time tho lol
depends whos figures you look at. most press stats are wrong for a start. iv raced v6s and theres not been much in it til top end where they just disappear. they pull a little off the mark then the gap stays pretty much the same til about 110+
and as for cable vs electric throttle....cable...
depends really. not as powerful as todays modern hot hatches. but then nowhere near the weight of them either.
still. 0-60 high 6 low 7 secs. not groundbreaking by any means
0-100 high 14s low 15s..not too shabby
but as for drivability....its right up there with todays hot hatches.
