Did you ever find out the dimensions of the bolts, nuts and washers required for each of the four corners? as I'm looking to refresh the front suspension on my 1.2 but can't find the information on the bolts needed to connect the wishbones to the subframe.
thanks
People have said a few pages back that it is necessary to loosen the cam pulleys regardless if you're changing the dephaser, I'm just wondering why you need to loosen them? what is the purpose? Genuine question, I'm just interested in the process I think I understand the majority of it :) thanks
Hey,
Been searching the thread and couldn't find a definitive answer. Anyone know if the Powerflex dogbone bushing kit PFF60-211K would fit this dogbone mount...
Ah yes I have a spare set that I can get ultrasonic cleaned, will give that a try and just overhaul everything like coil pack, sparks, o2 sensor in the new year. Car needs a good overhaul being 12 years old, still got lower wishbones to fit that I bought ages ago.
thanks again
Hey,
I've got this issue with my Clio where some times if the car has been left for a day or two the first few minutes of driving the car will hesitate and lose speed with no acceleration. Basically you will feel the car losing power and when you press the accelerator nothing will happen, until...
Hey there,
Wonder if anyone knows if the tensioner pointer is supposed to move within the timing window when the car is running.
Let me explain, I changed the belt on my car and I tensioned the pointer to the front of the timing window by turning it anti-clockwise tightented tensioner nut to...
Hey guys, wonder if any of you can shed some light on a weird noise i'm experiencing after changing cambelt, waterpump, tensioner and aux belt on my 1.2 16v clio.
Here is a video of the noise, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_0e_fqKGtk it only seems to be on idle when you are going it sounds...
Yeah he said that when it was in the air the wheel wouldn't rotate but when it was on the ground for the brake test everything was fine? I was like uh ok, so that's why i checked it when I got home and was able to move it without any problem? Weird... Just wondered if anyone had ever experienced...
Hey,
I had an MOT on my Clio the other day and it passed but with a weird advisory on the offside front wheel unable to rotate while in the air (on the lift). Now I had it at home the previous week on stands checking the car and found no problem with it, and when I got home after the MOT did...
I had multiple knocking noises on my 1.2 when the car had a sudden burst of acceleration or deceleration (stepping on accelerator/taking foot off accelerator and even pushing clutch in and releasing). The noise disappeared when I changed the driveshafts because my ABS was playing up and had a...
Damn I should have made a guide as I did mine like 2 weeks ago. Basically...
Jack up car and there is a plastic protector that you pull off.
Undo the sump nut 8mm I think same as the oil sump nut and let oil drain out.
Replace washer and do up sump nut to 20-25Nm.
Open bonnet and look down...
Hey guys,
Was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere in the Yorkshire area to have a timing belt kit/waterpump/coolant and aux belt changed? Normally i'd just do it myself but I really don't have the time at the moment and it's in need of doing.
thanks in advance
mavez
I'd say go for what others are posting, cat back system, induction kit and maybe some lowering springs and decent tyres. After that just keep it well maintained with regular services, I've had my clio 1.2 16v for about 7 years now and i still love it :D
Hey guys,
I was wondering what are the dimensions of these bolts? i've changed the O/S driveshaft today and would rather replace the bolts with new ones. Will any bolts of the correct size do e.g. (halfords, B&Q).
I'd rather go out today and get them than wait a few days for them to be sent...
When my 1.2 was missing and running like crap I hooked up an obd-II scanner and got the exact same codes as you did. At first i changed the spark plugs then injectors then I change the whole loom and it still ran like crap, last thing I tried was the coil pack and that fixed it and has been...
Vive le francais! well done Loeb and team Peugeot!! Kumkum ignore all the stupid comments and insults you have a driver and team to be proud of so why not shout about it :)
