Ive got the same exhaust and I want those tips. Thats how they should have been all the time! Shouldnt imagine it changes the noise much? it isnt a particularly noisy exhaust in my opinion

Not sure if its been mentioned make sure you buy a genuine thermostat seal, third party ones are crap and leak after a few months which will leak and lose coolant, causing it to evaporate away which is hard to trace sometimes

Seem to always see silver ones on my way to work and back, I think I can recall of at least 4 titanium 182s not including the odd silver 172 that I keep seeing. Those, a couple of a RBs and 2 BG ones are my usual spots. Oh and a flamer 172! Only you and another chap that user this though
