Finally (new baby + other things going on) got my hose sorted so I can use my pressure washer outside the front of my house. Got some snow foam (Autobrite IIRC) and used it a couple of times. The pressure washer and also snow foam has made quite a large difference to the washing process so I...
Done
Can't believe how smooth that went. Took dead on two hours start to finish. Actually impressed with myself as these days I have little or no motivation to be rolling around under a car propped up on axle stands, especially with the car parked on a semi-busy road.
For some reason they've got 172 ones at £40 each and 182 ones at £32 each, but the pair of 182 ones at £58.75.

I've got a thread asking basically the same on the first page of this sub forum. Turns out Renault Parts Direct do both genuine cables for £58.75 and you can use the free delivery code in this thread.
RPD have this http://www.renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/product/renault-clio-182-handbrake-cable-set-rear/ at £58.75
About to order but they're saying there's a choice on this vehicle?
My driverside handbrake cable has just snapped, last done it about 8 years ago. Back then everyone said just stick to Renault as anywhere else never seemed to supply the right size. I see now though that Eurocarparts sell Pagid ones and only have one listed for left and one for right for my 182...
Ha at least it's not just me then! In around 27 years of messing with cars I can't remember having to pull the ball joint back down or if I've done it before I've corrected it without even thinking about it. I think I was in that much of a rush on Saturday I pressed on without thinking.
Side by side now it actually looks identical, where it didn't at first. I can also see on the cone part of the ball joint where it's been sitting higher and the pinch bolt has gone past it.
I think a combination of me rushing to get it finished to watch the football and getting pissed off has made me not notice it wasn't lined up right. I've then forced the pinch bolt in and damaged the threads, before noticing. Then getting it back out I've split the rubber so it needs replacing...
I'm starting to think human error may have been at fault here and I've managed to get the joint higher in the hub than it needed to be, which had inturn made the pinch bolt harder to get in and ruined it.
Bought a ball joint off eBay a while ago from Eurocarparts. Now ECP said they didn't stock the ball joint for my car. However they did sell this one...
I heard that a few years ago and painted my spare in it. Seemed a fair bit darker at the time, probably a better colour (IMO) just would mean doing more than patching up a few alloys.
I have. I've done them with a compressor and spray gun but really I just want to tidy the original wheels up for now as one or two are a bit scabby. Eventually I either want turinis or a proper job. At the moment it needs to be the 205110 as I wont want to mess about painting the centre caps.
Hi. Just wondering if anyone knows of somewhere that makes up the Cup pack anthracite wheel colour 205110 in aerosols.
I've seen some on ebay for about £13.95 delivered for a 400ml can, just about to order but thought I'd ask on here first.
I seem to have aquired a parcel shelf rattle on y 182 recently. I've taken it out several times and tried to re-align it to no avail. What I'm wondering is there any sort of rubber stopper/bung meant to be on the shelf itself or where the shelf sits as I seem to recall something but there's...
Fai?
Anyway I found some ECP ones on eBay but then it mentions 12mm bolt holes even though it's listed for a 182. Given it's that long since I last done a ball joint on my 182 how would I know other than when I take the old one off, or are the 12mm ones specific to a 182 or whether it's cup...
Best places and price (I know some will say Renault!) for ball joints?
I usually look on ECP and see what makes they're selling, but I couldn't find any listed for my 182.
I did use Carpro Reload previously and my results weren't great with it. Guessing it's down to time taken/technique. Yeah I've got pressure washer I'll have a look at those products, sound good as In do wash the car regularly, just don't have the time to spend many full/half days going to town...
Washed the car about four weeks ago, then used some black hole on it with a polisher (seen some good results elsewhere and I've only used it by hand before) but I'd ran out of Cr Pro reload which I'd previously used (didn't like it anyway) and I'd picked up some Triplewax Fast wax in Asda for...
Gave it a quick wash last night.
This morning I took the crank sensor off and gave it a clean as it hasn't always been starting first time. Thought I'd give it a go as last time it done this my girlfriend had to get the AA when I was at work as it got progressively worse and then wouldn't start...
