My 172 just isn't feeling right. Symptoms are this -
It feels like it's holding back, but not in a misfire kind of way, when I change gear it's like it's on an elastic wire slightly, as if it's going to stall but doesn't. It doesn't like driving around 1500-2000rpm, just is very jerky.
I've...
It's pretty irresponsible leaving at full chat, the open field were full of sheep and lambs, wouldn't fancy hitting one of those!
Did anyone see the factory matte black Murcielago SV parked on its on practically at the back?!
Ive had Parrot kits in my previous Clios, but for some reason I'm sure they needed a loom adaptor, but I can't find one in my bag of wires, so I plugged it in without, but no sound. Can someone confirm that a wiring loom adaptor is required before I order one!
Thanks
So interested, a mate messaged me a screenshot off FaceBook - seems a company are giving away the 'Nardo' 172
After looking into it further, I looks like they're actually making a Nardo 172, but have used photos of this car parked on my drive, and also one of your arty shots. I personally don't...
So yesterday I bought these two
Think I'll get some Brembo discs and pads off George and change the brake fluid and gearbox oil, and then see how she goes at Blyton Park in May
Multitasking!
And now she sits today. I've fitted some Cooksport springs, as my last two had them on and I like how it sits
Jobs still to do are
Headlight restoration
Spray grill etc black as they've faded
New front pads - has cheap EuroCarParts one in that don't fit as they clunk when...
After owning various different 172s, a 182 and a 200, I generally sell them and move away from Clios, but always seem to end up back!
Anyhow, this is my latest
As my Mrs' MK7 Golf R had just gone back, and we'd just taken delivery of a Tiguan, I don't need a big car, so the brief was simple -...
Man this has come along way!
I loved this car, but I suppose this means I'm going to have to change my 'car' from this one, to my latest purchased 172!
Great work finding the original pics of it in Monaco!
Has anyone found a solution for the horrible surfaces found on the door pulls, the hazard switch surround and the trim piece below the radio?
I think it's where they were once a nice rubber type finish, but 15 years has taken its toll, and now they're a horrible scratched sticky mess!!
Thanks
So this is a little collage of my previous Clios, there's a 51 plate missing as I can't find photos, but that was my 1st one back in 2006! The Flame Red was my favourite, taking my and my now wife through Europe - if anyone knows where RA02HZD is please let me know! Bought the silver 182 needing...
Love Euro road trips.
Did a similar one in 2008 in my Flamer, down through France to Italy, across the South of France to Barcelona and back home to Huddersfield
My 172 broke, just as we pulled into our really posh hotel in Barcelona lol, both bolts had dropped out of the catalyst to manifold...
Nice car that ;)
I changed the gearbox oil less than 2000miles ago, using genuine Renault stuff, and I literally did an oil an filter change an hour before you picked it up!
I'll watch this thread with interest, seems you have good intentions to do the stuff I probably should've done! Gutted...
Havent been on for a while, been keeping up with the maintenance on her, most recently today, replacing the centre exhaust mount which had gone causing the exhaust to scrape over bumps, and fixing the xenon leveler which came adrift causing my lights to be on the floor!
I haven't washed her for...
Boot solenoid
Back seats down, two torx holding boot trim on. Pull off trim and flick plastic lever to open boot
Leave trim off until replace solenoid, or it might be like mine where it just fixed itself after a day!
Bit different
04 172 full glass out quality respray in Storm Grey, inc door shuts etc - bay still Monaco
85k, 12 months MOT, genuine Cambelt and dephaser replaced at 83k (July '14), Cup alternator setup with new genuine belt at 82k (a/c delete), full suspension refresh inc ball joints, genuine...
Is deciding to not start!
No issues before, finish work early aaaand starter motor has decided to not bother anymore, must have broken up for Christmas
Even more annoying as on lift duty tomorrow, as my Mrs has a 2 seater MINI
I hope Santa brings me a new car...
On the guide, the pics aren't working

Anyone point me towards an updated thread or anything please?
Ha yea, sold loads of cars before after tarting them up, however new rules re insurance and tax make it trickier. Hopefully by SORNing it, it makes it legal to keep it on my drive
Bought this Clio yesterday, for the pricey sum of £300
52 Dynamique dcI 65, 113k on it and MOT fail on cv boot adrift, rack gaitor, hazy headlights and insecure drivers seat (runners knackered)
Body wise needs a good mop, however drives really nice and had belt done at 97k
Plan is to get it...
