I've heard it can be done, as now I've managed to connect all the mysterious wires under the seat, I'm left with 1 black and 1 yellow on the car loom, with nothing on the seat loom!
I think coding it out will be the best solution
So abit of an update for this
Finally decided to treat her to some new shockers!
I was selling it at the beginning of October, with the intention of getting an A4 Avant Quattro for the winter, and also so I can look after my nephew as never 100% trust the Clio. However, I've now ordered a new...
Seen this this afternoon in Huddersfield - was next to it at the lights in the Mrs' JCW.
Thought to myself, what's this guy doing with this Clio, then realised it was rear engined - then saw the VR6 Turbo inside sticker!
Ok, I'm fed up of trying to find a picture to show what goes where on my airbag/pretensioners, so I've seen they can be coded out?
Where in W.Yorks will do this, as I presume a main dealer won't be interested?
Thanks
Ok I've searched Google, however I still can't find a clear photo of each side of the plugs
If anyone has a spare few mins, can they just photo their plugs, drivers side only, or show which wire they've connected to which please, I'd really appreciate it!
Basically, the previous owner cut off both plugs (car side and buckle side), and just taped the wires up, not connecting them!
Problem is, car side and buckle side wires are different colours, Soooo I've no idea which goto which
If anyone could post a pic of which colours go where, I'd...
I see quite a lot of Clios been broken for parts, and wondered what kind of money you could expect to end up with?
Say the car is worth £1300 as a running motd car, will you likely earn more in parts?
AlexW yea I'll get a new one, what price are you looking at as I'd have to factor a courier in aswel?
That bolt is still the same, I remember seeing it, however it's been fine since it was put in, I'll just change it when I put some new shocks on it
Few things have changed on this, so thought it was due an update
The uneven idle (a lot worse than standard) was starting to annoy me, as was the knocking suspension at the front, so I decided to put a few quid into her, and picked up a replacement subframe, complete with CUP arms. I bought new...
AlexW Subframes being changed this morning, have also got two CUP arms, and all new ball joints and ARB bushes. Got a KTec Stealth to go on too, dont know weather u saw whats on it now, but im pretty sure it's a 1.2 back box!
She's running, all correctly timed, rotated backwards before torquing then turned over and the tools slotted in beautifully
Built it back up, took her for a run and that 5k kick is one of the most pronounced ive felt in my 4 previous 172s!
Start to finish 3hrs, although I have no A/C or...
Have some faith guys - im a tech for Audi and deal with floating pulleys all the time on the TFSi engines, plus this is the 2nd F4R belt ive done, the first I didnt use this tool but thought id give it a whirl this time
Dan@SJM does it replace the top or bottom gear on the tool?
As title
Have all the correct tools from Renault, just looking at them (cars at home), and doesnt look obvious how they fit on!
Ive got the single gear, and the plate with the two gears on
A quick pic or brief explanation would really be appreciated!
I've searched and searched, but can't find these anywhere
My local dealer is poor, and I know they'll just say can't find them, so I want to go in with part numbers!
Full job lot
Cheers
Missing its xenons, so there's £100 straight away. Going off that, id say front end knock, however what else have they cut corners on, if they've put the wrong headlights in?

Renault Wolves are doing them for £120, my local stealer says they cost THEM £110 so couldn't price match...
I bought mine for £750 in January 2013, refreshed suspension and did cambelt etc, ran it for 6 months and sold it without advertising last Sept for £2100 - I literally had PMs every week asking if people could put their name on it for when I decided to sell!
I've done a search, but nothing as far as I can see
Why do people fit CUP shocks to standard 172s?
Just asking as mine needs a refresh, and they seem to be the same price?
Not updated this for a while, so thought I'd put down what it's been upto
Ive still not fixed the snapped handbrake cable, tbh I forget it's broken as it holds on one, and I've not had a Saturday morning free at work to do it. I have, however, replaced the front tyres with some Hankooks, I know...
Matthew. I'm meant to be saving for a wedding, and it's pretty obvious I'll have to factor in respray costs to any CUP spoilers I buy, but who knows
Need to sort out the mechanical bits 1st, it's definitely feeling sorry for itself!
