Is deciding to not start!

No issues before, finish work early aaaand starter motor has decided to not bother anymore, must have broken up for Christmas

Even more annoying as on lift duty tomorrow, as my Mrs has a 2 seater MINI

I hope Santa brings me a new car...

Dodgy battery earth? Failing that, long bar and give it a gentle tap, tap, tap!

I had a really quick peak as to were it was, is it under the exhaust manifold?

Are there any common earth issues?

Give it a whack, usually just the solenoid sticking

The earth from gearbox to chassis is fairly common. Test by putting a jump lead from -ve to the engine block.

Yea, under manifold but has a heat shield over it, well it should!

If it doesn't turn over it'll be the battery to chassis earth usually. Might need a wiggle as can look like it's fine but it's not.
