Feel good now i have read this - 36 and was debating getting shut of my RB 182 this year but the wife reckons i'll regret it having owned from new and hardly used it. It spends all week in the garage as i get the train to work and I sometimes think what's the point in owning it (only cover about...
In seven years and coming up to 18k miles mine had the lambda sensor replaced under warranty, front discs and pads replaced under warranty after first MOT due to corrosion (my fault for leaving the car for periods of time after washing it and the pads rusting to the discs, but argued with...
yeah, fitting a pipercross airfilter kit to my AX GT many many years ago. The kit comprised a drill bit to widen one of the jets on the twin carb. Ended up having to replace the bloody carb in the end after numerous rolling road trips - I completely fcked the thing up!
I know where you are coming from as I used to debate whether or not to remove them, but having had the car seven years I don't really think about them anymore! The car came with them, all be it my choice, so they are staying!
As said above nowt wrong with the 182 cups. I've had mine nearly 7 years and still love it. Rather have mine than a non-cupped full fat. Granted seats arent as nice, but then I didnt buy mine for the seats. Plenty out there, be patient and hang on for a decent one with good service history and...
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
Thinking of getting rid of my 182 cup. Owned and garaged from new, rb Inc stripes, 17k miles, fsh Inc cam belt done at birchdown. Mint nic no parking dents, original tyres plenty tread, tiny scuff on back alloy when taking wheel to get puncture repaired and...
Re: Renault Sport Clio 182 - Looking to buy as an exciting daily drive. Talk to me pl
I'd take the minter everyday. Is your friend's dad the only owner of the car? Even better if so. Inferno is a nice colour too. 7k miles FRSH and belts done - you're effectively paying 6.5k for a brand new...
I have to agree. I took mine there in April for its cambelt and service even though only on 16k miles and the car is like a rocket. As you say really nice blokes who enjoy their work and make time to have a chat etc. Defintely returning there when the next service is due. Did a thorough job on...
Cars are a complete lottery, as mentioned above all depends on how they've been treated (serviced, driven, number of owners, whether been in a crash). Don't rush to buy, take your time and pick the right one.
When i bought mine 6 years ago (time flies!) I wanted a 182 with the cup packs as that was what mattered to me (the engine and the handling). The day I went to the dealer was the day they brought this model out so it was perfect timing for me as got the car I wanted and saved some dosh as well...
My 182 has just turned 5 and is only on 15k and still like new so pretty sure the belts are fine but dont want to risk it so trip to birchdown on the cards soon - renault wanted something ridiculous when i asked them a couple of years ago £900 i think
