Same here, 7.5 from new, no plans to sell. When I get something else this will stay in the garage on a limited mileage policy. Just passed the 19k mark the other day! If you've paid for it keep it as you'll only regret and end up wanting it back/wanting another. I would anyway
Don't discount the 182 cup as they are racing blue (or inferno orange) and have cup packs as standard. They also have a/c & cruise as standard. The seats are cloth and you don't get xenons or climate. Depends on what you class as important, but I'd definitely go for the cup packs.
Can't get link to work on phone, in Greece at mo which could be why :) will definitely have a look when get back.
I covered more miles in my VTS in 18 months of ownership than this over 7 yrs. I did what you did and bought a runabout that I could basically use and not give a crap about, and now...
Oh and the steering wheel has just started to get a little rough around one of the edges from when I had the drive done and left the car parked in the street for a while in the sun. Got to love the French quality :)
Can't wait for this to come out. Looks from that pic aren't too bad, be good to see what the actual model looks like based on that. Cheaper tax, better economy, 5 doors all make sense to me. Looking at changing the wife's 1.2 next yr and was thinking 1 series/golf, but this seems a serious...
Yep full service history all at Renault with the exception of the belts which I got done at Birchdown. Failed its first mot at Renault due to corroded brake discs, but because of the mileage and condition of the car Renault uk paid for all round new discs and pads which was a bonus!
Cheers for all the comments. Forgot to mention, it's still on its original tyres as well with plenty of tread left. It spends all week in the garage and comes out at weekends if needed, but I hate leaving it anywhere in case it gets dinged. Keep looking out for a nice ph1 172 as love them but no...
Keep reading more and more threads where belts have snapped on the 172/182 models which kind of concerns me.
What are the main causes of this? Neglecting servicing, thrashing the crap outa the cars, or shoddy mechanics not knowing what they're doing?
Just interested to know really. My car...
Lol, know how you feel mate. Took mine off to get a puncture repaired, leaned it against the wall, turned my back and the next thing i hear it fall flat on it's face - happended in bloody slow motion.
Thanks for the comments. Not posted any pics on here for years. Beef-mc - yes it pretty much is a weekend car. When I bought it I did 5k in the first year and now I commute to work by train so it rarely needs to come out. If it comes out it goes on long journeys as opposed to short runs. It has...
Can't believe I've had this car nearly 8 years. Crazy!
Here are some snaps I took this morning. I cleaned it last weekend so thought would take some shots whilst it's clean.
Lunar miles....
Chavvy Sticker :-)
one here from when I'd had it a week!
one here from...
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
182 cup, RB Stripes, Dec 04 54 owned from new, 18,200 miles, full service history (3 renault stamps and big cambelt service done at Birchdown), last service 2 days ago at Renault (coolant and brake fluid changed). No dings/scrapes, just one minor scuff on one...
i was taking an easy bend today at 25mph and the car momentarily went sideways - s**t one! the snow hadnt even stuck but was coming down. had a tailback after that as wasnt taking any risks!
