I'd go for it Mark. You only live once and you love your car. If I still had mine as I'd be getting it done. There'll be a lot of seriously quick fiestas about soon
Got quite excited reading this, then remembered I swapped my ST back in October. Feel better now I've seen the price as I wouldn't have bothered at that price. Bit unfair that there's not a £600 difference given that's what the MP215 cost.
Sounds awesome mind!
If Renault are so happy with it then why release the Trophy. Doesn't make sense. Of all the special addition clios released in recent years the 182 Trophy was the most special/sought after and the one that continues to command a premium over the other 182s. Seems to me like they're desperately...
I've started to think like this and it's an ideal car for me. Lost an absolute shed load of money on my recent ST so will stick to my 182 for the foreseeable! Perhaps a second hand one of these in a couple of years if they turn out good
It was the fact that it was based on the cup and only available in red that drew criticism from predominantly (jealous) full fat owners suggesting it was a money making scheme by Renault to get shut of the old shells!
When the 182 Trophy came out it got royally slated for being a run out model and only available in red and being based on the 182 cup. There was all sorts of speculation about what it could've/should've been. I can't wait for the press reviews of this one as from what I've read it sounds like it...
Looks like you got a bargain there. A lot of car for 1900. Id get it into a specialist and get it fully serviced inc belts etc and it should see you right for a good few years.
I got a new set in the end from Renault Wolverhampton on here as every set I saw coming up needed tyres and refurbing so thought sod it, better off with a new set.
Had a good look round it and it was "ok". Hadn't been prepped very well, but then that's to be expected at that place. The recaro didn't look too bad through the window and hadn't torn. Wheels needed a refurb and tyres were all new but budget ones. Small scuff on back quarter which I'm confident...
I suppose they have tight margins there as they have a lot of stock they need to turnover quickly. So they won't spend hours prepping each car. Pretty sure you can't haggle the price down either. I'm sure the one I went to see had been recently MOT'd as the front discs, whilst coated in rust...
Had a look and didn't bother test driving it. 4 new budget tyres, couple of marks and curbed wheels. Side bolsters were not warn through but we're thin. There was another one in great nic on 11k miles with the cup spoiler which was nicer, but didn't have recaros or cup pack. 200t in the showroom...
Lol I hate the place, hate the radio ads and the cheesy bloke that does the videos has got the most annoying voice. Not even looking for a car, was checking an mpv out for a mate when stumbled across the 200 so thought may as well go and have a look.
Yeah agree, recaros (although can't make...
Going to have a nosey round fords of winsford car supermarket tomorrow.
This car has caught my eye, however they've just posted up pics and I'm wondering why the air intake pipe has a date scrawled on it. Reminds me of when I used to pick parts up years ago from the scrapyard. Possible accident...
I was always anti-lease as hated the thought of shelling out a heap of cash over the period and walking away with nothing.
I bought my fiesta ST in July 13 brand new for the long term on a PCP as the apr was 4%. Swapped it for a focus after 12 months as it's not a baby friendly car and it was...
I agree that the seats aren't the best, especially compared with the heated recaros in the fiesta st I had! Rest of the car is great though. Kind of wish I'd covered 120k miles @Iain C in mine instead of pampering it.
Half of me thinks keep it nice and take my little lad to car shows in it in a...
Thought I'd post some more up to date pics. Car now ten years old and on just over 21k miles. Currently debating on running it as my daily and actually using it!
Pics taken today after a quick clean. Paint is still like new. Still loving it ten years on.
