Spotted a couple this morning on my travels round Dundee, tidy wee RB with gloss black wheels and Cliosport sticker on offside rear window near lochee road. Also parked up next to a lovely trophy at East port car park, had a new style rear badge, exhaust and a snappy wheel with carbon dash trims...
I've got an rs tuner and the Ron98 map, had it sitting here for ages and need to get round to uploading it...what's been stopping me is the talk of using a 12v charger connected to the battery while reading/writing the ecu...is it really necessary or do people not bother? Battery is only 6...
Passed one in my work van yesterday morning about half 7 at the roundabout next to the Cally thistle stadium, had anthracite bullets to match the wheels
Top stuff mate, will check it out...never actually got in to look at the washer bottle before. Take it it is a case of removing the wipers then the scuttle panel at that side and that gives you access to remove the bottle? Looks like a pain if it is haha, unless there's a way of getting in...
Hello CS, seems I have an issue with the car losing its screenwash fluid at a fair rate so assuming I have a leak somewhere, where's the common places to look first for this? I know the headlight washers are known to be a problem, anywhere else obvious that I should be checking, pipes, joins...
That looks superb mate, the photos are excellent. I also have the problem of mine appearing swirled to death in certain lights, will need to get round to sorting it after seeing this
Last update to bring it up to where it is just now. Gave it a good clean once the first good weekend appeared since the winter. Came out quite well, going to give it a proper go in a few weeks, but for now it got washed, polished and sealed using Autoglym stuff.
I then decided that the...
Yes mate first 182, but did come to this from a mk3 clio GT, that was a good car, looked great and was very comfortable but didn't feel as special as the 182 does, love it! I did look at scorpions before settling on the milltek, will probably stick with the catback at the moment as it sounds...
Suits the f1's really well. I need to get tyres sorted, then would like to fit some fresh suspension bits if I get a chance, already got eibach pro springs on it so would prob just look to replace other bits with genuine parts, seem to have a creaking issue over rougher ground on full lock...
F1's? Would like to try a set of lighter wheels and eyed up a few sets in the ad's now and again but tbh mine isn't likely to see a track anytime soon so probably better off putting the money to other things at the moment.
Thanks mate, still got another update to bring me upto where it is now but im exhausted after writing all that out, should have done it as I went lol. Nice Monaco you have there, only ever seen one in person, is yours the one with the splitter?
Forgot to mention at the start that I bought the car on 77,000 miles, well the mileage had now gone up to 82,000 by February and the last full service on 72,000 including all the filters etc, had been nearly a year and a half ago, not counting the minor oil & filter replacement carried out by...
I don't have any pics from then til about January this year, but a few things were done to the car. The original standard exhaust was rotted away and on it's last legs, so this was replaced with a new Milltek cat-back system in September, sounds perfect and looks brilliant! I also gave the...
Hello all, decided to get round to making a thread to keep all the images and progress of my 1st Renaultsport since I've had it, nearly a year now. The car had one previous owner before I bought it back in June 14 from DTM down in Newcastle...I had looked at a couple of 182's more local before...
Think I might look into lacquering when I re-do them, was happy with the finish off the 3m kit but just hasn't seemed to lasted. If your thinking about a snappy wheel at all I would defo recommend one, got one recently and possibly my fave part of the car now haha made such a difference to the...
Looks great the turnaround, did you seal the finish with anything mate? I done mines in September but with 3m kit, they came out well at the time but have since appeared to haze over again recently Just had a wee look thru your project, car looks tidy, love LY clios
Think I will go down the route of trying to source a brand new 3rd one and see if that lasts. Was maybe just bad luck and the 2nd hand one was on the way out anyway. Do you happen to have a link for one on eBay? @Diagro
Bit of a bump on this, but anyone at all know anything about the resistors going? Or is it just likely a case of bad luck with the 2 failing in quick succession? Removed the blower motor from the car today and it looks ok, wiring and plugs look ok, cage seems to rotate fine by hand as well...
Has anyone had experience of more than one resistor pack failing on them in a short space of time? My original one died in January leaving the blowers stuck on maximum, so I sourced a 2nd hand replacement off of here which worked fine but also suddenly died on me y'day, causing same symptoms...
Finally got round to straightening my exhaust tips, they were sitting too far right and occasionally rattling the bumper. Not 100% straight but best I could get them and much happier with how they now look. Also treated myself to some autosol and gave them a shine while I was at it, came out...
That RB finish looks awesome. Thanks for all the advice guys, will be putting an order in shortly for a few bits so will take these into consideration, and will be sure to post some pics up when I get round to doing the car in the next few weeks :smile:
