Looks great that, can't argue one bit for 15 quid, willing to give it a try! Seems I would be best going for the White paste for racing blue as it seems that the blue paste is suited more to darker colours, although again I have absolutely no idea how much difference this would really make haha.
@JD i do actually already have some of the EGP but wouldn't mind spending a bit on a wax to try for better results in the fairer weather. Had a look at the poor boys natty waxes @Bear Head, certainly reasonably priced and people seem happy with the results from what I've read, probably a decent...
@Bear Head Great mate cheers for the reply and info, can be so confusing all this protecting and detailing malarky so good to speak to someone in the know! I have srp and egp at the moment so will maybe give the AF stuff mentioned a try when they are done. I also thought about trying one of the...
Yes the options page is good, never knew the cup suspension pack included revised steering geometry, that mean a tighter rack or something over the standard 182? And noticed there's no mention of recaros in the optional extras, where they only available once the trophy had been announced perhaps?
Received this in the post today after bidding 99p for it on eBay  good read and nice wee piece of memorabilia for anyone interested. Shows options lists, specs, features, pics, and all the usual showroom brochure stuff for all models throughout the Mk2 range at the time (Aug 04) including...
Sorry to jump in on the thread but great write up, very helpful  I will be looking to give the tar, iron and clay steps a go myself on the car in a few weeks time so I'm glad I came across this. After these steps are carried out would autoglym super resin polish applied by hand, followed up...
I know :weary: done them not too long ago with a 3m kit off eBay but they seem to have hazed over again, will do them again and try sealing them with something, see if that does the trick
Thanks @walkie86 yeah going to give one a try in a few weeks...any recommendations, what's good? I know autoglym do a clay kit but are there better ones out there for the money?
Seeing as the weather was decent today, and the 182 was filthy from all the winter weather, I decided to get out there this afternoon and give it a wee tidy up. Still getting the hang of all this detailing but pretty happy with the results from just a quick wash, polish and seal!
I started off...
Hi mate, a bit off-topic this one, but I see you replaced the pedal plates and this is something I'v been intending to do as well, did the plates come with rivets or did you have to get them separately? Good luck with the sale, incredible car, someone will be getting the cleanest 1*2 out there...
Got a lot of time for this, great job you've done so far getting stuck into everything, looks much improved from the start...spoiler in particular is a cracking touch!
Cheers @optical , I actually did the headlights with 3m kit about 6 months ago, but they have hazed over again yes...maybe need sealed with something next time I do them? Not had a proper chance to test the gearbox, but the old stuff was very black and dirty compared with the new fresh stuff so...
Fitted new snappy wheel, love it! Also changed gearbox oil with help from a modified hose pipe, going to attempt full coolant flush with new expansion tank tomorrow
As title, does anyone know where this connector below is for/what it does? Not sure whether it was already disconnected for a reason, or whether I have ripped it out when taking out the airbox and not noticed. Ta
Received my re-trimmed wheel from Snappy yesterday (Thursday), incredible turnaround and service, only posted it off to him on Monday afternoon! Quality is outstanding, cant wait to get it fitted over the weekend, such an improvement over the original. Was also kept updated with pics of the work...
Wondering if anyone out there could give me a bit of help, looking to give snowfoaming a try for the first time and got an old but working pressure washer in the garage...
...cheap one by the looks of things but hoping it will be up to the job, just need a few things cleared up on lance...
