Yeah they are quite good especially for a fiat. I'm just not 100% sure on the looks of them. One day I do and one day I don't like them lol. A guy at work has the baby 395 it looks the part but doesn't move haha
As imprezaworks said they are really cheap and you will be surprised how well it changes if they are old. Piss easy to change too and no need for spring compressors which is an added bonus!
Bloody hell this is an olď thread lol. I ended up changing my shocks for genuine new ones from Paul at rpd and got myself some 15 inch 195 tyres and the problem never showed face again. As previously mentioned when it was doing it for me it was hitting the solid part of the arch and not just the...
As someone mentioned earlier underneath there's a plug by the subframe triangle right in the centre and it runs down to the rear 2 sensors, this was corroded but looked ok. Got it up on live data and I wiggled the plug while someone span the wheel and it was like it was being...
That's the plan I'm one of those who finds a problem and replace everything I touch on the way.. Bloody cars and bikes cost me a fortune haha!
I didn't know that I would have assumed it wouldn't have died right down in sound due to still being moving at the same speed through the driveshafts...
Sorry guys I've been really busy with a refurb house over the last few weeks. I've had my mechanic pull it apart last year and that was down to all the tiny bits so I know I can get hold of all the tools I need if so.
What I'm thinking is getting a second hand one and pulling it to bits and...
Yeah I thought so that's the one I mentioned in the original post, I wasn't sure if there's more than one name for it.
I hear your quite good with boxes yourself. If I take mine out and open it will it go back together relatively easy if I don't pull all of the cogs apart, or will it fall to...
The rattle I mentioned has always been there as far as I know and i have no idea what that is as mentioned. It's never caused a problem and nothing can be felt from it. All pulleys on the cambelt and aux kits were replaced, alternator changed.
The other noise is a constant noise only upon load...
That's what I thought. It is virtually brand new. Theres a thread on here I had problems before with it all haha. The input shaft guide snapped and in turn slid up and down between the release bearing and the input shaft bearing destroying both. The box was taken apart, all gears were cleaned...
I've read a lot of posts and can't seem to pinpoint what I'm hearing as everyone keeps going on about he diff bearings. Mine is only when the clutch is engaged in gear. Surely if it was the diff it would make noise regardless due to being connected to the driveshafts.
When on the motorway it's...
They should be dropping in price as you'd think they wouldn't sell - but apparently two do! Paul at rpd said he had sold quite a lot at that price within the last year.
I don't know how true or not it is but apparently they stop making parts I believe 15 years after the last vehicle of that type...
That needs bubble wrap and an armed guard before a bit of dust lands on it and snaps the thing in half.
The k tec one I considered for the price which is reasonable and looks good but as mentioned I've got a donor I'm looking to buy and just wanted to see if it was a genuine or not :)
It was the free delivery that got me haha ;)
It's not pauls fault it's just Renault charging silly money for things. My mate broke the map sensor on his 1.2 and that was 130 quid from Renault! They do like their 'tax' on certain things don't They!
Sorry guys basically I'm looking at buying a car. I wanted a set of wheels and the car isn't much more than I was going to pay for the wheels alone from someone else.
I'm buying it as a donor (hopefully) and was going to steal the splitter and wheels from it as like mentioned mine shattered like...
Hi I've had a quick search and no joy.
How can you tell if a cup splitter is a genuine one as I smashed mine and looking to buy second hand and don't wana pay over the odds for a cheap one like a fabia etc
Yup standard 182 wheels. 205 is standard size in these. I'd have thought there'd be some marginal space between the tyre and arch (metal part) when using the eibach, enough for 195/205 to be well clear
On the picture similar to this above, it's rubbing on the lip to the left of the bolt. This one shows the liner better
Edit- this is drivers side, and outer part of the arch. Obviously when I'm turning left and the cars leaning right the outer tyre is hitting into this. And the same on the...
The front half (bottom that tucks under bumper) is not fitted at all. And it's gone through that hitting the metal lip and shaved a chunk off the tyre. Maybe 195/45 would be a little better as it's only slight by the looks of it... But loud enough!
Haha I wouldn't say that!!
I had the fastest laps I've ever done up there though on Michelin pilot sport 3's. 1.03 seconds (GPS) on a damp day. It really was pushing hard and it definitely was leaning into the corners a bit. I got these springs as an 'upgrade' haha. At least I get a cool...
I had sportlines and prolines delivered from demon tweeks and looked identical apart from colour so I hope not as my mates got a set on now haha. The problem is only on hard high speed cornering and not had a problem in months up until the trackday.
I d
I done my dad's laguna ones (2004) and they was an absolute nightmare to do! I'll see how brave I feel and may wait til it's warmer to do before going there if it's anything like that.
I'm sort of hoping they are good so I don't need to go there, but hoping it is so it sorts out the...
I think I'll just go for an overhaul on both. It is only on very hard corners it's doing this at 70 and 80+ mph bit I'd rather not a blowout at that speed if I can help it lol
Never looked to be fair so probably old, would that cause the front to have problems? I have considered doing all of them genuine as I daily it 100 miles a day and don't fancy doing it on poly
Road it's been fine no issues with so ever but I was up at brands Hatch and it really didn't like the high speed corners once the track dried out, it was fine when I was going slower in the damp.
I've been told the 205(195)/45/16 is the same overall height as what most tyres come in at 195/50/15
