heres the bearing currently on it as you can see the rollers are directly on the shaft, but ive left the garage now to get a picture of the new bearing, but its very similar to a wheel bearing i took out of the rear hub on the old corsa. the seal then presses against this then the guide plate...
Hi,
I've read a lot of people having problems witht he input shaft seals and I'm having a complete nightmare. my input shaft guide sheared off so I bought a replacement which didn't fit this one came with a seal built on but is to big to fit. I then bought a second one direct from Renault which...
hi, did anyone ever resolve this? I'm having a nightmare ive bought 2 different bearings and 2 different input shafts and still am having problems. I think I got the right shaft (plate 8200128328) and I'm after the seal size 24,5 X 37,93 x 7 mm can anyone give me any ideas where to get one pelase?
ok Is there any way to fix this idiot gauge or whats causing it because I have no idea its going to overheat until I get steam from my bonnet? or is this just another typicial Renault thing I just have to live with?
ok ill give it a go and see, so how comes the coolant temp digitally shows the right temp when plugged in, but the needle wont? I would have thought they was linked?
it starts off at the bottom (cold) and as the car warms up the needle slowly rises to the middle (normal operating temp) but will not rise above this mo matter how hot the engine/coolant get, and goes down normally as the engine is turned off and cools.
It just doesn't seem to want to show...
and also the thermostat shows the right temperature on diagnostic readers, but the needle wont move past halfway on my dash so I assume its something other than the thermostat?
yes the fans come out hot, I also have the air con problem with the broken cog so I always get cooked, that's why I sort of ruled out the water pump as the heating will kick out hot air for hours? and I've held all of the hoses I could get to and they all felt hot which was another reason why I...
Hi guys,
Another problem again lol, well ive had it since day one but just not realised it I assume.
Its a problem I've had with my coolant and overheating of the car in still traffic on hot days. The needle on my dash starts off normal and slowly rises to normal temp as the car warms up, but...
No I haven't yet but I've bought some intake pipes that are going behind the front grill facing the brakes when I get a chance so thanks for that I never thought of the fog lights removal which I'll now consider. I replaced everything today and it stops like it hits a brick wall! Also it turns...
Thanks a lot I'll give that a go as I haven't sorted the calipers out yet and this sounds like a good idea as the tips snapped of mine so you might have just saved me £100 or so :-)
Thanks guys I was torn between the ideas I've had I was set on Brembo hc disks but I spent nearly 500 quid in the shop and he gave me the disks for virtually nothing which is a bonus! I'm quite new to this forum and by far is it the best for help and advice on all sorts of things, even made me...
both of the bleed nipples are seized and ive tried heating and giving them a knock, let wd40 sink in and no luck and they both eventually snapped and it just seemed like a good idea to replace them as it looks like im going to have to drill them out and tap them etc, so buying a new set looked...
Hi,
i recently took my 182 to brands hatch for a track day and completely boiled my brakes to the point where my disks were smoking and boiled the fluid. I had the problem where my pedal went to the floor coming up to the first corner after the longest straight and had a bit of an excessive...
