Centre section to back box needs adjusting if its hitting off the beam.
As for hitting speed bumps, if your car is lowered what do you expect? lol Mines decked only 40mm and it catches the odd one here and there. Its to be expected
Agree, the size of the Ford fan base definitely pushes up values although the Renault scene is ten fold bigger than it used to be with the popularity of the mk2 Sport Clio's and the Meggy 225
I wouldn't be surprised if there are less Clio Ph1 172's in the UK than series 1 RS Turbo Escorts.
Only 1200 odd ph1's officially passed through Renault dealerships the rest being made up of car supermarkets. Production run didn't last long where as the Series 1 RS turbo was mass produced.

The point about a expensive courtesy car has gone straight over the top of a few heads.
Its not anyone's fault other than the industry. If insurance companies hand out expensive cars its all us who are paying for it. Yeah its cool when you crash and they give you a nice car but years ago if...
Been in a charged Clio and its foot down and your shooting forward at a rapid rate instantly. Very very drivable and excellent for a road car.
Never experienced a Clio turbo but are they drivable off boost? or are they typical turbo, wrong gear off boost and you've lost it
When ever my mates give it some 'VTEC yo' i always feel embarrassed like i should be congratulating them on how awesome VTEC is but in reality its just a change of noise. That said they are quicker tho but only by a fag papers width
Why are insurance companies giving out expensive courtesy cars? :S When my Girlfriend had a accident she had a choice of top of the range BMW's.
By the time she had to hand it back the lease to the insurance company was something like 3k !! No wonder insurance is so expensive. Total...
Replaced it with a Ktec stealth which was miles quieter and didn't have the unbearable drone at 70 / 80 mph.
Saying that i think the Ktec is starting to get a bit louder now or maybe its me getting older lol although its been on the car a good few years.
It was bought brand new Chip, twin tail one, ran with a silenced decat. Was really glad to get rid of it in the end as the car tended to be ran mostly on A roads and motorways where it was at its most droning.
My experience with a Magnex was anything but quiet on the Clio. Loud but truly deafening slap bang at motorway cruising speeds 70 / 80 where it hit peak drone. Also weighed a tonne. Ended up cracking thank god lol
Heard good things about them on other cars tho.
Going back to the thread this happened to my Girlfriend a couple of months ago, next door neighbour reversing into her car. The guy who hit her paid for the costs although he had a say on which garage to use down to the price.
Its all based on trust tho. He could refuse to pay then your...

You can make a DIY Samco.
1 x 90°
1x length of pipe 19mm ? for between 90 and isvc
1x self sealing aluminium barbed take off (by a company called Revotec)
Jubilee clips
All can be bought from the ebay link Jonny posted.
Iv noticed just in general you get more car rattles on the Clio when its a warmer temperature outside. Must be to do with expansion / contraction of plastics and rubbers etc :S
Apologies for the late response.
Fitted these today with a Halfords rivet gun kit. One issue i had was the rivets in the Halfords kit were not clamping down one side of the brackets, rivets were too short. Not sure if this is down to me being a newbie with a pop rivet gun lol or if Renault...
