Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get a handful of bleed valves for a caliper today on a Sunday? Nothing open! South Wales area! (Swansea, carmarthen, Llanelli etc.) Stuck after changing brake fluid on my R26. Ruined valve! I believe it's an M10 but might need an M11 as a replacement.
Sorry mate didn't see this post. Goodyear Eagle f1 all round about half worn.
Cambelt due in October but waterpump never been changed (long story - had to do some thorough digging!).
I'm looking to buy it - private sale.
I think it's £6500-£7000 as it's in pretty good nick. Don't think it's...
Hi,
Looking at buying an R26. The car I've found has had the timing belt change in 2009 under warranty (for whatever reason), but didn't have the waterpump changed.
The belts are due in October this year, but the waterpump will be around 7 years old this month. I'll get the belts/pump changed...
Hi all,
Any chance of a quick hand with valuation for this?

Microsoft have also made it very hard to get a download copy of windows 8 since they stopped their digital river service. Be very careful getting one from random sites as it's incredibly easy to alter a windows image, injecting all sorts of malicious code takes seconds for them.
You can usually take the hard drive out and slot it in another machine. That'll tell you if it's working or not. May get driver errors as the hardware isn't the same, but least you can see if it'll boot into windows or not.
Usually liquid onto a laptop means the main board is fooked. It shorts...
Can anyone tell me why, when all three pulleys are slack, why my cambelt won't turn by hand?
Does the crank pulley take a bit of force to turn freely? Can it seize?
Belt is tensioned and the two nuts are in place on camshaft pulleys (but slack) and bolt is it place on crank pulley (but...
How come? Surely it's just a case of rotating the camshaft very slightly so that they slot into the renault camshaft locking tool, then locking the pulleys with the renault pulley locking tool?
Following guide on here as well as the renault workshop manuals.
Renault having trouble sourcing part 1509-01.
New part number for it? They're currently checking with workshop to compare.
Can't seem to find it for sale anywhere!
I've already got 1509/1801.
Thanks
Funny. Long week in work, couldn't be bothered to spell blah blah blah no excuse really.
Yeah just seems too short. Stupidly binned the knackered one. Never mind. I'll check it tomorrow
Yeah belt first then I'll look at the valves.
Thanks! My mission this weekend.
Seem legit? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-CLIO-2-0-172-SPORT-CB1N-TIMING-BELT-KIT-GATES-/220406251927
Yeah I think this is the best bet. I'm borrowing a endoscope to check out the pistons. Least that will tell me how bad the damage is if the valves are knackered.
Actually ignore that, it's the belt assembly that slips right, not the cams.
Does that mean your crank would have gone round a fair bit further before the belt stopped slipping for it to be out 'backwards'? Hence the damage to all 8 valves?
