Nice car Cookie
They are great machines even when the mileage gets high.
I had an 08 GT with 89k miles on it, sold it trade earlier in the year (March) and got £5k for it.
Dealer sold it for £6k within the week.
It had full Honda history and hadn't had any major problems or repairs as I knew...
I really didn't want mine to be lowered, but I didn't want to just replace one when I could do all four for not much more.
Turns out the opposite side front had a crack in it too.
They drop the car 15-20mm on a Cup.
Probably looks better for it.
Handles better.
Bear in mind if you're driving with a broken spring and you know about it, it would be frowned upon in a very negative way if you had an accident directly relating to sudden loss of control of the vehicle or part of the spring ejecting from the vehicle and causing an accident otherwise.
I was...
On my Cooksports the right rear is fitted and the Cooksport writing on them is the correct way round. (as below)
On the left hand side, the spring is fitted the opposite hand, so the Cooksport writing is upside down. (unless its printed wrong, but the writing is definitely upside down)
Does...
On offer at moment at Halfords £35
http://www.halfords.com/motoring/garage-equipment/trolley-jacks-axle-stands/halfords-2-tonne-trolley-jack-low-profile
Same as the SGS low profile one but different colour.
The garage seem to have made a nice job of fitting it...
Fits nicely within the standard (newly replaced in Nov) hangers
My rear beam is going to get cleaned treated and painted in a couple of weeks so apologies for muck
Fits nicely with the centre hanger that I replaced too
I was a...
Thanks for the pointers fellas.
I will leave the screws in that are already there, as reading an old pdf in the guides section that fuBar did a while back (for removing the front bumper) it turns out these screws hold the bumper on underneath.
Also on the KTEC carbon fibre splitters, there is a...
Just picked up a Fabia splitter for the grand old sum of £13.97
They were in stock at the Skoda garage I pass every now and again, would've been rude not to at that price.
Anyway I have searched the forum and have a question I don't know/ can't find the answer to.
I've looked under my...
So I phoned KTEC just to see when their silenced Janspeed 2.25" system would be in stock and they said this week!
From a few very positive comments I've read here and there regarding the overall quality of the KTR Janspeed system I have gone and ordered that.
Mind made up, paid for, done.
I am...
I've spoken to Martin at Scorpion, (and if I did have any problems with the Clio being a daily driver and an absolute necessity, I could always get it swapped/repaired/replaced next day there)
I have changed my mind again and I think I will go for the SRN019 system.
£13 to deliver it to my...
Cheers Dave, I'm kind of tempted by just being able to pop in to Scorpion and pick one up.
They said they would fit it for me if I could wait a week or so, so I might just do that.
BTW, KTEC offered me their new Centreline exhaust, similar to the Orbisoud style I think. Bit more £££ but looked...
I'm interested in fitment.
Do they fit straight on, no messing about - all my mounting brackets have JUST been replaced.
Don't want any blowing or rattling or poor fits.
The welded bracket on my 182 original back box has broken off, and the exhaust is pretty much on its last legs. Theres really not much point trying to weld to rust :-(
MOT is looming in a few weeks so after searching a fair bit I have whittled it down to two.
1. Scorpion SNR019 with centre...
Nice pic in the garage Dan - looks mint.
I'm just outside Lincoln and I've used @MicKPM at Diamond Motors the last couple or three years.
April (ish) he did belts, dephaser, front brakes, full service. He also replaced some missing covers that had been left off by Renault the last time it had...
Shame this didn't last long!
I had someone offer £4k for my 182 Cup (05) last week. But wouldn't be til a couple of months time.
Thinking about it :grinning:
Just had full alignment done (after bedding the Cooksports in) and replaced all the exhaust mounts, so its good all round as far as I...
Yes mate, I would recommend them. For the price, I can't see why anyone would buy the expensive renault ones, other than keeping dead standard.
I didn't want aftermarket springs, but I'm please I did.
Handling is improved, feels more planted to the road, not by much, but I expect compared to...
Nice examples there fella
What do you think to the Milltek.?
Build quality, fit , noise
My standard exhaust has just about given up the ghost, and I'm torn between Scorpion SRN019, KTEC Sport (silenced), and Milltek
I've read a few reports that the Milltek build quality and fit is shoddy, but...
Spotted on Sunday in the car park
I was in my RB182 Cup and the mrs noticed your number plate and said thats like something I should have (OCD)
I was just popping in for a new wash mitt.
