Sorry Feirny, I'm not actually trying to be a c**t at all to be honest, All I was trying to explain to the OP was that HID's are illegal and can cause you untold grief, which as a new driver is something you want to avoid, I'm sure everyone in the thread can appreciate that.
So, I'll try once...
Try that link I posted a few pages back, they are quite good and have the Blue Xenon Look and they are cheaper than halfrauds and won't insult you by asking if you need help fitting them, which I'd like to try and see if they do on a 182 for £6.
I fail to see how they are the same, Halfords one say Xenon Look, they are a halogen bulb with blue tint.
the Ebay ones are HID Xenon Bulbs ( as posted ), No one on Earth can explain that any better, unless you want me to make a video for you and use crayons and paper to try?
Like mine, when the engine is off it shows at the 2nd bar as I fucked the dash light up and can't be arsed to set it back, so a good temp for me is about 3/4s of the way up.
OP if you have an RStuner just do the live data program, it's pretty damn useful.
No the guy has asked about Led lights originally, I suggested Xenon, he posted the Ebay ad with HID bulbs, but fit standard fitment and filled with Xenon Gas, so the advert is complete crap, they cannot be HID and standard fitment or not filled with Xenon but just tinted, I then said HID in...
Such an idiot my god, I'll paste the descripton of the Ebay add, if this isn't Saying they contain Xenon I don't know what is.
XENON BULBS ICE BLUE HID SET INCLUDES:
2 X ICE BLUE (6500K) H1 55 Watt Main (high) beam bulbs
2 X ICE BLUE (6500K) H7 55 Watt Dipped (driving) beam bulbs
and a pair of...
You need to learn to read mate.
The Halfords Xenon HID Style Headlight Bulb offers safety as well as style on the road with 4000k of white light for a ‘Xenon Look’.
they are NOT XENON BULBS!
No read my other post and look at the link from one of the Largest Car Light Bulb websites in the UK and Find me an Actual Xenon Bulb that isn't HID. They do not exist, no one has come back about that remarkably.
No I typed, I wasn't talking, hence my comment over CS intelligence levels.
And Gerkin, Post 11, going the opposite way that your are now.

Find me a bulb that has Xenon gas that fits in these cars? I wonder why they don't have any from a reputable retailer? they only have the Xenon Effect, why....... because...
FFS it doesn't same way Racing tyes with sufficient tread will pass the MOT but be illegal on the road, it's not part of the test and an MOT tester is not allowed to make calls on the regulation.
All I can say is don't come crying on CS when you get done, tell you what, go to the Seller and ask him for a Guarantee on this. he will just refer you to the product manufacturer and take no responsibility, All Xenon Bulbs have to be HID other wise they will not ignite in a conventional bulb (...
No, they are Emarked and they are OK to put in a Xenon Lamp, not to put in a Reflector unit, there is the difference, Ebay advert will not stop you getting done for this.
Thomas Seriously stop being such a fucktard now, I suggest you look into it more, Emarked yes they are legal for Xenon lamps, doesn't make it ok to put them in a reflector lamp, End of, use the internet and check this out properly before giving out s**t advice to new members and new drivers.
If a young driver don't, if you get pulled for something silly and the copper see's you are new by your license date he could turn into a right c**t.... Xenon lamps just look the best, £ for £ is just worth it for the look alone imo, plus no insurance issues either, they are a factory item, HID...
They also blind everyone else on the road who is coming the other way, plus illegal. 4300K is std clio Xenon rating, most people however use either 5k and 6k, I use 6K because I like the Pikey Blue tint.
Mental money new, £150 for a second hand set, widely available in the sales section on here once you sign up and part with £12 to the CS mansion fund.
and don't bother with a HID kit, they look shite, they are also illegal, for the sake of £150 it isn't worth the untold hassle a pissed off...
