Awesome. Manfields mean as! I have thread on here somewhere. Just starting out racing really and doing it cheap. Like you I got a lightly written off Clio. 1.23 best lap so far which gives plenty of expensive motors a hurry up. Dry ice the tar!

Nice one Aussies. FYI There's a heap of weight in the door cards and sound deadening too. There's a few of us in NZ racing these. They go hard!

Rear towing,,,,,I'm cheap so used one end of 2T ratchet strap, relieved the black trim and cut bumper behind. Strap is then D shackled to the rear frame. There is a convenient hole I think. My thinking was that if I'm on fire I just want to be off the track pdq before it catches fire too...
whats the general feedback on timeserts??. . . my 172 just shat no4 plug and munted the ignition cable with it (175000km). . ..thread seems ok for now. Running a bit rough at low revs though.
182 definitely faster but then it is stripped out with sticky tyres. The 172 is looking mint with your old rims and sportlines.

Khumo V70 semi slicks were great on track. I ended up running pressures lower and lower. Next time I will start cold at 25psi rear 26 front I think. Heres the 182 with my DD 172.
Next step for the 182 is seat rails for the sparco bucket seat.

Manfield track day report : 182 went awesome. It was the first time I have driven it and managed to get my best lap down to 1:26.0 - well happy. Shot below of the pits setup - the MX5 beside was turbo'd with a few trick bits and sticky tires. They were very surprised that the little Clio was...
Even easier is.....and yes it works on a Clio.......1) place one end of long clear plastic line down into tank and the other end into the fuel container on the ground below tank level. 2) place another short line into the neck of the fuel tank 3) put a rag around the lines to seal off the lines...
Thread is a bit confusing sorry. I started with a silver 172 but then bought this 182 as a track car. Haven't tried the kumhos yet.

Help. Most of the way stripping out a 182 for track days. Car is gutted but all the loom is intact. Car runs and drives BUT ..... instrument cluster warning lights work, backlights come on with headlights but rev counter and temp don't seem to work.
Any ideas of what to check. Cheers from NZ...
First time out of the garage for a quick wash. Doesn't look too bad for having been through a chain link fence. Track time here we come (thermostat not working tho)
