Cheers once again b1lly, you're a champion! Now i can't decide, I still really like the orange rim version, but the orange calipers are a lot less 'in your face'.
I know it's cheeky, but could somebody photoshop it with black wheels and colour coded door handles and strips with orange calipers? Interested to see how that would weigh up against the first idea. Cheers guys!
Nice looking car! Didn't really have a proper look this evening as it was a tad dark outside. If you and Dan go for a drive sometime let me know, i'd be more than happy to come along.
Does anybody know how the plastic surround for the CD player/radio in a ph1 172 comes off? I would like to take it off for painting, but can't get it off.
Cheers,
Snails.
Thanks b1lly, that looks awesome and exactly what i was hoping for. It's given me a much better idea of what i want to go for with this car.
Do you reckon the plastic strip down the side of the car would look better colour coded to blue or would it look better black like the wheels?
Looking to start adding my own touch to my clio after purchasing it 5 weeks ago,
I was hoping to get a set of Team Dynamics pro race 1.2 and then have an orange theme across the car as it is apparently the complementary colour to blue. Could somebody please replace my wheels with Pro race...
The dearer petrol, isn't a requirement, it will run fine of normal petrol, however you may see a increase in mpg on the more expensive stuff that outweighs the additional expense. People also reckon it runs better, but i haven't really noticed any difference in performance since switching to the...
Just had a look through the service history for the car and there is a note on the 48000 service saying
Note! CAM BELT COVER INSECURE
Why didn't they bolt it on back then.? FLOL That means in all likelyhood it's been driven for the best part of 30000 miles with a cover rubbing against the...
I took my car in for it's first service since i purchased it. The mechanic said it was all ok except for the fact that the cambelt cover wasn't even bolted on and had been rattling around and wearing down on the belt, he wasn't sure it if it had always been like that or wasn't bolted on properly...
Spotted heading away from the centre, sort of near the college/uni. I was sat on the Park and Ride bus as my car is in for service (Got a lift to P&R as it's far quicker than actually waiting for a bus where i live.:)
My rents gave me £2000, then i borrowed 600 to pay for the rest of the car and then another £1000 for Insurance and to have a second key made. (£156 FTL)
Saw your car parked up in South Mimms services then spotted you again on the M25 and last saw you shortly after joining the A12.
This was Saturday evening.
My car is due for service soon, the guy servicing it is a family friend and is only charging £25 per hour labour, so just out of curiousity what is the going rate for labour at a garage?
I was driving home tonight from Colchester and about half way home I noticed that whenever i indicated right the lights were flashing twice the speed they normally do. The left ones are totaly fine as are the right ones when used as hazard warning lights, but on their own they are going mental...
When I was looking to buy a 172, I saw an 01 plate, with 54000 miles, but had not had the belts done (not stated in the add)I asked the guy if they had been done and they guy said something along the lines of "I think every single person who has seen this car has asked the same question, i...
Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not really bothered if they take the piss, it's what we all do it to one another and i will continue to attend. It was all a bit of pub 'banter'. I was just curious if others had had the same reaction?
