I got a set of tailored mats from Euro Car Parts last week. Around £16 online (more expensive in shop so I ordered on line using the click & collect service).
All black, with no logos, but not bad quality and they will do me over the winter months at the very least
I sorted the same issue this week using a Meguiars headlight refurb kit.
Basically a polishing compound and a wool polishing pad that you use with an electric drill.
Worked very well and my headlights are like new again
Lol, I'm far from being very young.
Anyway, car all sorted now.
No oil leak.
Air con regassed.
Boot lock mechanism changed.
Horn & front fogs working.
Time for fun
Getting there. Remember that air-con that 'worked but not quite as cold as it could be'?
Lol, not exactly. Not a drop of gas in it. Got it re-done today and all frosty now.
A few other things to sort then it should be all ok (just the horn, front fogs, exhaust knocking and rear hatch lock to...
Nope, not interesting at all.
To summarize the last 7 pages....
i just bought a 182.
Oil warning flashing on dash. Have I bought a dog?
'Check the oil level' they cried.
Thus, late at night, armed with a torch I did just that.
Level was loooow.
Topped it up the next day to the upper mark of the...
Found it on one of the threads on this forum.
Engine running, wind drivers window right down and hold the button for at least a further two seconds. Wind it all the way up and keep holding button for at least another two seconds again. Repeat once more downward and lo and behold, one touch...
My 182 cig lighter works fine, but neither of my plug in phone car chargers seem to get power when I pop them in.
Is there some French quirkiness going on here with regards to the inside of the lighter socket?
So, got some oil and topped up a total of about 1.5 litres.
All seems well again, but I'll be checking the level every day for the next week or so until my paranoia recedes a little.
What else have I been doing (apart from driving it). Spent two hours cleaning the inside of the back window as it...
Ok, a little update.
No oil under the car.
No oil evident in engine bay.
No oil in expansion tank.
No mayonnaise under oil filler cap.
Will go and buy some oil shortly and update again...
Level was fine earlier today. Maybe there's a leak and it dropped all the oil over the course of my 3hr trip down the motorway. Doubt anyone would have noticed anything at the time.
Further investigation tomorrow...
Incidently, 5W40? (semi or full synth?)
Car on flat ground. Last run an hour ago. Didn't notice any smoke out the back earlier.
Will fill to level tomorrow then I guess it's a trip to my tame mechanic.
Very disappointed :-(
No, where it should say 'oil ok' it simply flashes 'oil'
Funny thing is, I stopped at a garage 5 minutes before I got home and when it started then it showed 'oil ok'
What could have changed between then and now?
I'll be out and checking the dipstick in the morning!
Just worried a bit when I saw it.
Is it unusual that no warnings came on during a 3hr motorway run, but appeared an hour after I had got home?
Obviously got a lot to learn about these cars 'querks' but am surprised that if it does turn out to...
Disheartened to say the least.
Bought a 182 today and drove home on motorway for 3hrs without incident.
Got home, had a cuppa and went to drive to a friend to show it off.
However, went to start it and the section that displays the mileage was flashing 'Oil' and the serv light stayed on after...
Well, I've eventually bought a 182 in Racing Blue and it does drive very nice.
However, I've found a few issues on the way home that I hope you can advise on..
1. The horn doesn't work
2. The front fogs don't work (but the light in the dash does come in)
3. The boot doesn't lock. Doors lock on...
