Personaly I would get a Netgear readynas pro. Simple and elegant design.. can take 6 drives and is hot-swappable. Chuck a couple 2TB RAID edition Caviar's in there and then you can expand it as needed up to 10TB raid 5 or 8TB raid 6.

If you just need a bog standard network setup then it won't take long, you should just set the wireless network name (called the SSID) and configure the security on the wireless to wpa/wpa2 and set a password for your network.
How to do this will be in the manual for the router...
