In every liquid spill I've seen it's the motherboard, not the disk. Keyboard generally directly drains though to motherboard. OP would have been best to strip down the laptop and rinse the whole lot with deionized water then dry fully.
I wouldn't have said it, if it wasn't true

Off the top of my head, I have probably seen about 50-100 Acer's. Either broken (usually down to cheap Chinese cap's) or their owners asking why they are "so...
I accept that it is a generalisation.
However, when I said I'm a computer guy, I meant I'm an IT Manager, so I see every brand of laptop and in high quantities. I didn't mean I fix my neighbours computer once in a blue moon.
More importantly, The CEO of Acer actually stated they make crap...
My 2 were delivered this morning.. glad I went for the 6+ as it's not as big as I thought it would be.. If I got the 6 i would have loved it too, but just not as much ! :D
Listen to the VT65 recommendations.. That's what I have got and the picture quality is immense. It does make a little bit of noise as it has a fan, although I can't hear it at normal watching distances. It is heavy and it does get hot and use more power than LCD's.. but f**k me I wouldn't change it.
You have 3 options
1) Some telly's have 3.5mm in jack. If it does just use a 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable.
2) Buy a new graphics card with HDMI outputs
3) Buy a conversion box - hard to come by and probably more expensive than option 2.
Got the VT50 55" and I can not fault it.. Simply perfect. DO IT ! LCD is ok, but for the best picture quality.. plasma every time. Will see you find until OLED becomes affordable.
It does have a fan, which you can hear if you mute the tv.. then squint your head sideways over the top of it and...
Absolutely, I've got the 55" VT50 and it is nothing short of brilliant! I simply can't fault it... unlike the older 30 models there is no green blob lol
Actually if I had to fault it on something.. it would be the speakers are they are not the best sounding, but who uses the inbuilt speakers...
More likely than the cables that a few of your switch ports got fried.. seen this happen before. But as suggested a cable test should be carried out anyway.
I have these throughout my house..

the ultimate XBMC front end.. tiny, low power and completely silent most of the time.. and if the fan does kick in your head needs to be next to it to hear it.. plays anything I can...
Actually, you can... split scope ?
Yes, and switches use telepathy :headno: lol
While true that most WAP's will provide DHCP services if required, why would you want a Layer 2 device taking on layer 3 duties ? that's over complicating things ! just leave the router handling it if that is the...
So true,
I genuinly will not buy a One if it needs to be always connected.. or every 24hrs etc I am totally against it.. it's the reason I did not buy Sim City and Diablo III despite how much I love those type of games.
TBH, I don't really have much time to play games anymore anyway lol
I think he means it was a video of in-game footage running on a One. Doens't matter if it was played back on an 8 year old console as it's all pre-rendered video if you know what I mean. All the 360 has to do is play back a video.
Haven't seen the videos though so can't comment on how much...
You can, it's just not what he needs ;)
Your wireless router may have a "Access point mode only" setting.. saves you buying one. Or quite often you can configure the router to act only as a WAP.
Works well for me..
