Well I got up to 14 wakestones in the Everfall and killed everyone in that room first time when I went back! So feeling quite satisfied I went into one more room and the dragon appeared, so I fled and went back to Cassardis and onto the Bitterback Isles. Enjoying it so far - some nice new...
I just fought the dragon and started doing all the Everfall battles but WOW some of them are hard - one of them pits you against a wight, several infernal hounds or whatever they are called, some chimaeras and other stuff. It's ridiculously hard so I had to bail...but now even random encounters...
There comes a time though when there's too much detail - even on 1080p sometimes people's faces look disgusting close up, I'm not sure I want any more detail on Alan Sugar et all! :)
I am thinking more than just outside America - what about different timeframes - Victorian England, a future metropolis, a Caribbean pirate setting etc.
Hell why even limit it to Earth - you could have a Total Recall style setting on Mars...where you're new to the planet and gangs and...
Have to say this looks very good - and I've not been interested in the previous few games either.
I would still like to see the game in another setting though but understand America is what the masses expect and gives it a distinctive look and feel.
It looks pretty balanced from what I've seen - it's not like the mechs make it ridiculous, the battles seem very dynamic and lots of gameplay possibilities. I like the parkour style abilities of the soldiers too - seems very interesting.
Some nice touches too - such as being able to squash...
Been watching some vids of this- looks like a mix of Dragon's Dogma, Skyrim and Dark Souls...but with much better graphics and story (a weakness of all those mentioned games).
I'm sold already!
Good analogy.
People comparing to music/films - they are of course also digitally copied illegally but there are many aspects to music and films which don't translate to games. e.g. going to see a band live, going to the cinema - other revenue streams which can be exploited which there isn't...
I don't see why it would be true though - given most demos for AAA and AA games are at least 30 minutes long...this wouldn't have been any better.
Anyway, who cares, it's not happening...lets get on with our lives.
Re: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PC, XBOX ONE)
Can't wait for this game.
What with this and Dragon Age: Inquisition going to be spoilt with quality RPGs early on in the new gen lifecycles.
MS are responding to what people have asked for - now they've done that they are getting criticised for that too! I personally think it was PS fanboys making it into a bigger deal than it was with the internet/used game criticisms.
Anyway, I was going to get a One before the announcement and...
Draw distance and pop-up are my main bugbears - the graphics even in the current gen are decent enough. It's amazing how draw distance (or lack of) can ruin immersion in games, especially RPGs, racers and FPSs.
In Dragon's Dogma characters often don't appear until you're right next to them -...
Yeah the ending was awesome, made me think about it for ages after. Booker and Elizabeth were really well acted out too - the game mechanics themselves are solid but not amazing IMO, and some of the tonics make it too easy...but the story and atmosphere are groundbreaking.
Yeah they are a tactical weapon - think each player gets one per level you can call in when you want - so do you bring it in early to get some early kills and risk being swarmed, or wait until late on when everyone else has used theirs?
Not seen any info on this yet but I assume you can...
Yes SP player games are good, but this has been designed as a MP game so if that's what your after look elsewhere Roy! It's like criticising a 4x4 for not being a convertible.
Personally I never play the SP in FPSs anymore, and if I do it's out of a sense of obligation rather than wanting to...
I've been reading and watching a lot about this game and it looks amazing so far - can't wait to have a go. It seems to have taken the best bits of COD and put it into a new setting and added a very cool couple of twists (giant robots and parkour style movements). Seems to be a One exclusive at...
I've already drawn up a list of games I want this Xmas (or whenever they come out!) - , Titanfall, Destiny, Witcher 3 and The District.
I am connected to the net and don't really care about pre owned. I am just going to get down and have some fun playing these games and not worrying about all...
What was that other canon released as DLC - was like a BB but fired about 50 rounds a minute! Had to build several fusion reactors just to power it though as I recall. Also remember the ridiculous slow down which was constant when you moved your army en masse or set fire to a forest. I upgraded...
Publishers prefer MS now due to the pre owned thing. That's all a load of BS though, this gen many, many games comes with exclusive content you can only redeem once - and for many games they are key features so you end up having to pay for them after buying a pre owned game.
Also the cost of...
It starts off slow but once it opens up it's cool. A bit more wandering around and less prescribed than other RPGs I've played, but makes it feel like more of an adventure heading into the wilds.
I don't know too much about Watch Dogs but sounds interesting.
Also looking forward to some more info on Dragon Age 3.
And I would LOVE to see a next gen version of X Com: Enemy Unknown with more upgrades and personalisation of your team - the last one was awesome.
Destiny also sounds...
Yeah E3 is pretty exciting these days. A few years ago it looked dead so it's good it has risen from the ashes.
What One exclusive is everyone most excited about hearing more about? Titanfall I think is the one for me - giant fighting robots. YES!!!
