It's a bit of both to be honest, for the last 2 years most of the beta releases have been fairly stable and more than usable well in advance of the final public release. Battery drain issues and other minor usability bugs usually occur in the very early beta releases and improve...

I've been running iOS 5 for a day now and feel a little underwhelmed by it all. During daily use not really a great deal has changed, notifications are really the only benefit so far. I'm sure it all sounded much more exciting to me on Monday.
I imagine they will try to repair, if it's something simple then I wouldn't worry about them opening it up as nothing should be left rattling afterwards.
I would definitely make use of the 45 minutes while the band are on stage to charge the iPhone.

For those that have already installed OS 5 is it stable enough for everyday use? I'm still undecided on installing or not although I see it is possible to return to 4.3
