One improvement I have found with Lion is that it outputs properly to my HDTV via HDMI, with SL the formatting was never right.

Yes System Preferences, Users & Groups and deselect Show fast user switching menu.

The About this Mac option has been improved, it now tells me all details about my MBP including which generation it belongs to.

The scrolling isn't bad, I'll give it a try and see if I can get used to it.

Cheapest paid apps now 69p from the previous 59p I was going to buy Co-Pilot but the price has increased despite the description saying it should be £14.99 It looks like all prices have increased, I wonder if Lion will increase from £20.99?

Tesco Mobile are a alternative option I am considering. 1250 minutes, 5000 texts and 1gb data for £20 per month on a 12 month sim only contract.

I had been a O2 customer for years and the 3G data service with them was much better and more reliable. I'm going to trial Three for a month using a PAYG sim and see how they perform in areas I need to use my phone. The data plan I had for my iPad worked great.

My 12 month contract with Vodafone is about to come to a end and I think I will move elsewhere. 3G service has been patchy at best and often I can have a full 3G signal displayed but web browsing is not possible and pages simply hang. This can happen in many locations including Glasgow city...

One worrying development with these handsets is that nobody from HUKD who has received one from ebuyer today can get the UK app catalogue to work and can only access the US version.

Rumours suggest a iPad 2.5 may well appear in September. Not sure how accurate that is though as it would piss off lots of people who have only just bought a iPad 2.

Thanks for the info, 2 handsets ordered today. Always wanted to try a Web OS phone and at this price it'll make a good spare handset.
