Can't see how you can enforce a max price on anything. "I got em secondhand guv!"
The cheaper it is for everyone, the better surely? So keep the mods to a minimum must be best way.
I think a lot depends on whether the car looks like it's used on track, then they can be more generous. I think in 99% of cases, just having a bucket seat and aftermarket wheel might not be good enough eventually though.
Yeah straightaway, you're creating classes again. Surely it's far easier to say 15" control tyre, engine bay is stock, choice of damper/springs maybe and that's it. Racetracks would love standard exhausts - it could be run on a quiet day.
I'm sure there's a few on here that could be tempted, if it was using almost standard cars. But to splash out the best part of £2k, on what most would deem unnecessary parts just seems ridiculous. If it was just a case of strip the car, fit a cage, cutoff and extinguisher and get suited and...
It seems that 750 were down the pub when this idea was born. "Who were the people involved with Ali G's Renault? KTEC, let's ask them what we need."
Are all entrants getting a run on their rollers?
I really don't think I would worry, if I was in a 172 and a 182 was lined up next to me on the grid. It's supposed to be an entry level championship so fun being the predominant factor. I'd only throw my toys out, if the 182 was cammed and ITB'd. The difference between engines is as good as...
Yeah, we were lucky as I saw him driving his Range Rover with HRH The Duke of Kent first, then I loitered with intent lol. All the morning races' cars were based in the National Paddock.
Us, soaked through!!! It was raining that hard it hurt. We only had t-shirts on.
Above photos are far better than mine.
But I'll leave this one here:
Absolute idol of mine, so really made my day.
I take it they're stupidly low ones fitted then? For standard speak to Adam @ Renault Wolverhampton on here. They aren't cheap though and you may want to consider some Eibachs instead. The Prolines are about standard ride height and Sportlines give about an inch drop.
I'm with Budgie. Having said that though, I also believe that a standard Clio is plenty fast enough for road use. So any mods at all are realistically unnecessary. However the mods I have bridge the gap between a road and a track car. Bridgey no pad is available to suit you mate lol.
