There's a big difference between just doing it because you WANT to. I have no problem at all with that. It's your money, your car, your choice. If you want to put coilies on etc. etc. crack on. However there's people in here, saying that the way they commute, a Cliosport doesn't handle well...
I've got myself thinking about RSR pressures now. Have to check OS in the morning for central wear, to see if they were overinflated on the road, or if it was just excess initial heat on track. If so have to consider starting at even lower next time.
Oops Dave lol, seems like they don't like low pressures either. Nicely concave on further inspection but it's hard to say for definite as they've had road use too, but I did pump them back up for that. I guess it's what you get for cheaper tyres, they have gone on the inside too. Four hard track...
Yes I've read about the RSRs suffering before mate. Just went for moderate setting as it was getting more road miles than track. Next year will be different though. Not sure which tyres I'll be running next year yet either.
No it's a forum and the original post was asking for people's opinions on whether it was worth it. My opinion was based on 23 years of driving, both on road and track. I don't need to get technical to answer it and never assume that I have a lack of technical knowledge, just because I couldn't...
Yeah I thought that on the way home. It was fine on track but as I was giving it some through Kirkby Mallory, with my stereo turned and wheelspinning it to annoy the residents, it was just soooo slow.
I'm making myself sound silly? I use them to increase my speed, on track in a legal environment.
Go and ask your girlfriend's family what they think about it. Your car isn't fast enough for the road?
Fpmsl, please keep the replies coming. I find it absolutely hysterical that people can get so technical about a road car setup.
I bet you're a bundle of laughs down the pub. Ah but this pint would be so much nicer in a handled glass, served at 1 degree less and with 0.01% more alcohol.
What's...
Had it's first track day semi stripped today. Had a good tussle with an M3 from about 5:40, obviously not being driven as well as it could have been but shows that these cars, are capable of showing up more expensive cars in the wrong hands.
Unfortunately the video was a bulletcam type, so no...
I give up on all counts, I'm not missing the point. I am hitting a brick wall.
My euro boy comment wasn't aimed at you, it was a generalisation for those that choose to get that look.
I'm out.
I answered what my use was and you even quoted it above (road and track0. You also answered yourself here "The correct answer would be to better tailor your vehicle to your application. Renault spend R&D budgets on developing a car that will work for a large variety of applications " Don't tell...
Udi, no sorry I'm not enlightened by your post. I'm amazed that you bothered to write such a reply, thinking that it might enlighten me. Seriously don't try to enlighten me because you won't. I skimmed over your post but briefly got the impression that you also know better. Having driven mine on...
Statement from Mallory Park today following court case, not exactly full of info but still:
FOLLOWING today’s (Friday, August 16th 2013) Leicester Magistrates court ruling to uphold Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council’s prosecutions of Mallory Park on noise grounds, Mallory Park is now...
Saw this the other day too:
