no warning lights on mine...
really hope its not the clutch, it doesn't happen all the time but when it does i've not really noticed the revs going crazy? surely if the clutch is slipping the revs shoot up?
it really just feels like the car is choking a bit. maybe its a sticky valve. going...
am having a similar issue in 4th gear at low revs (around 2k). feels like fuel filter might be blocked or plugs getting a bit dirty. will have to see what happens at its service...!
nope it was def a baked bean! blonde driver i think but couldn't really see properly...
did follow me up from dorchester area so probably same one as Ad spotted ^^
dunno if on here, but they were following me for a bit so hopefully noted the cs sticker ;)
first time i've seen one, very nice colour, my mummy wants one hehe!
whats the actual name of this colour btw??
okay, if u have BOUGHT an aftermarket exhaust(s) please add your responses to the below:
what car: ie. mk# ph# &/or engine size
brand/type: eg. ktec, yozza, decat, catback, etc
approx cost: £££
noisyness: try to describe, i know its not easy!
fitting: where did u have this done, and do u think...
think it was NV02 ### not sure if someone on here...
i wasn't in my clio so they definitely wouldn't have noticed me ;)
bit fuzzy on location, somewhere around lancs i think
well mounting the curb and nearly hitting a lamp post sounds pretty bad to me?! you would certainly fail a driving test for that kind of thing.
end of the day, if they were really crawling that badly u could have got past them before they even noticed and there would have been no issue. and if...
exactly. time has nothing to do with it. first rule of driving: assume nothing! people will NOT do what you expect them to!
bottom line tho, was it really worth the risk to save a few seconds on ur journey?!
^^ used radweld on my old car as a long term measure and when we eventually did replace the rad we found that 75% of it crumbled away in our hands! it will very likely block up more than the leaky bit so use with caution.
my clio is bleeding too so i'm getting a new rad put in by carlton...
wise words, mod if u want to by all means but make sure u can really afford it! i think the phrase "money pit" can apply to clios in general regardless of mods! i've only had mine 8 months and although i'd thought i might do some mods to it, i quickly decided not to because the running costs...
£85 sounds pretty good to me!
i'm losing coolant at the mo as well, rather annoying as its barely 6 weeks since i had the cam dephaser repaired and now i've gotta shell out for this lot :(
i knew that badger-shaped hole would come back to haunt me  still i ought to get it all...
exactly. "when it first came out". we are talking here about 40 odd incidents out of how many thousand cars over six years?!
at the end of the day Renault is a business not a charity, the incident rate would have to be much higher to warrant a product recall.
oh really? whyever not?
to be quite honest, i think that as its a very small number of incidents over a large number of vehicles they have responded proportionately. a product recall at this stage would cost them dearly for something that seems to be purely down to poor maintenance.
