i just went straight to RAC because thats who Diamond use (took my policy documents along with). the one they gave me looks exactly the same except for having an RAC Windscreens logo in the bottom corner instead of Renault. It has all the right airbag symbols which i think is all that really...

good plan. my dad even managed to charge a new alloy wheel to highland council! annoying when it happens. i generally try to avoid potholes/manways but somehow ended up with damage to my previous set of front tyres :dapprove:

well you wouldn't expect it to be clean would you? as long as the brown stuff isn't on the top side you needn't fret. this is what filters do, stop the dust getting into your engine. the filter is impregnated with oil to catch the dust, whereupon it starts to resemble brown slime. et voila!

what's a manifold match involve? also, which of these mods did u declare on ur insurance and how much did it affect ur premium? i'm already paying £600 a yr as it is :dapprove:

remaps can cost around £300 e.g. http://www.k-tecracing.com/chip_tuning.asp am thinking along these lines myself, had mine for just over a year and now it's nearing 50k, it seems to have lost some of it's grunt. Or maybe I'm just used to it lol. Anyhoo I already got ITG panel replacement...

That's exactly my point. I'm not trying to insult you, but you were clearly ignorant (ie. lacking knowledge, see below) of the service history of this car regarding whether the aux belt had ever been renewed during it's 5 year life. Besides the fact that if the belt is taken off it shouldn't be...

true. i've been observing over the last few days and once it's warm the idle is pretty even. so, should i be worried about the cold running? is it doing damage? advice welcomed
