I've got an annoying rattle from my rear left speaker in my 182. It's all standard, and I think it is the bass rattling the surrounding door-card material. Is there a cheeky quick fix for this?
I have - and they're scarily rubbish! Like others have said, the tread just fills up with snow. I've had a lot more success in the snow with budget tyres on a 1.1 Citroen AX!
As for winter tyres, don't waste your money - it doesn't snow here enough to warrant them, and they wear much quicker...
Yeah I've always wanted to know if I can adjust the sensitivity of my auto lights too - I think they come on too late - everyone else has their lights on except me on the way home from work, and I'm just sitting there like a lemon waiting for them to come on. I could do it manually, but that's...
PMSL at this thread! It's a hilarious read!
On a seroius note though, all this talk about people proving their worth on track etc, got me thinking - can we do some kind of mass exodus to a track as a club sometime?
(sorry for possible hijack)
I had my old 306 repaired by Chips Away, and I was very impressed at both the workmanship and the price. Mind you, I suppose it does depend on the individual.
Sweet install - I'd love to have top the time and the skill to create something like that.
Loving the Mini too - ahh.......brings back memories - awesome little cars! :D
Just got my Clio back from Renault, with the same problems as described above, and apparently they tweaked the brake pedal and it's all been sorted - we'll see! ;)
Or get a 16 inch wheel where the spokes go right to the edge of the rim - it'll give the optical illusion of the wheel looking bigger than it actually is! The same applies in reverse - a wheel with spokes that sit inside a chunky outer rim will look smaller than they really are.
Driving along the other day - then two warning lights come on together - the one that says "SERV" and the one just below it that has a triangle with a skidding car inside it - I think it might be ESP or something, but when it's on, my cruise control doesn't work either. Thing is, you switch the...
I'm tempted to upgrade the speakers in my new 182, as they sound like they're struggling to cope at high volumes. Is it worth doing this first, or changing the head unit first?
Also, what size speakers front and rear will I need, and does anyone have any recommendations on makes and models...
Well you actually need two reflectors - one on each side in order to comply with the law. I did this to one of my old cars, but I masked off the reflectors, so they stayed red, and it passed the MOT no probs that way. TBH, you'll probably only need 'em for your MOT.
You definitely notice the difference. I had one on my last car (Peugeot 306) and it felt firmer and more sure-footed in the bends. Alot of difference for not alot of cash really.
If you can't find one in the colour you want, why not paint it?
Yeah I tried this first, but only having the 2m cable meant this was a no go. I read the instructions last night, and it mentioned attaching the aerial, with a sticky pad, to the windscreen at the top in the area near the mirror, where the screen is all dotted. Anyone reckon this might work?
Brilliant! Thanks for the pic as well. I've got the RA2, but I've already received the 2m aerial the other day. At the moment, with the aerial in that small square, I'm getting exactly the symptoms you described.
Right I'm going to give it a go when I get home methinks! If it doesn't work...
Has anyone on here got a Road Angel in their Clio, with a Heat Reflective windscreen?
I know I need the extra GPS aerial, which I've bought, but I still can't get a good signal.
Has anyone with one of these got any tips?
At the moment, I've got the aerial in the windscreen below that clear...
