Many thanks I am thinking I may of done damage to the drive shaft as I drove it for a few miles with stupid amount of negative camber on
like u suggest might of caused damage to the drive shaft
Its been a long story but basically bought some eibach camber bolts
Had the fitted and an alignment to -3.5 deg
Noticed on cornering left it made a grumbling noise like the tyre was being eaten or felt like going over rumble strips
It was perfect before the bolts were put in
Had yet another...
Right took the car to a lot better geo guys at it was a daft -3.6 neg which is to much on a lowered car
I have it set to -2.2 neg now and its cured the rumbling noise yipeee
I have put the camber bolts in the frt struts
Set to -2 camber and when pushing on left bends you get a rumble from the n/side frt wheel
I am guessing bit be the drive shaft hitting in the diff
I have been told -2 deg is ok on lowered cars like mine on cooksport springs
Only other mod is 20mm...
Right an up date
Had a alignment done it was miles out since the camber bolts were added
He had to track it up a lot which seems odd from just adding bolts
It still makes a rumbling noise from the n/side tyre
I think it might be a drive shaft but its only at -2 deg now which I have been told...
Noticed yesterday when turning the steering lock to lock it becomes stiff on idle
if you give it abit of throttle it makes the power assist more normal
Any ideas please
it was only a rough guide mate from a garage on a steel ruler with a gauge on the alloys
You can see by the eye it's far to much
The top of the tyre is a fair bit into the arch
I put the bolts in like directed on another thread with the lobe facing me for max camber
Yes thinking about it you guys might be right
Its fairly low on cooksport springs
I guess the stock bolts in it might of only been say -0.5 degree
Now just thrown back with the camber bolts its a daft -5 degrees
What you guy advice no more than -2 degree on a lowered car
I have not hardly used...
I had these fitted to the max negative camber (camber bolts)
Way to much -5 on a quick gauge set up,,
Going in tomorrow for a full geo as miles out
When I corner left now it feels like on rumble strips like the tyre is being killed
Does this indicate the set up is miles off
What do you...

Cheers mate so looking at these pics which part has to point towards my self mate

Looked on here but can't find a guide on how to fit above
reads bits saying there the top bolts of the 2
then I have to loosen off the bottom bolts abit
I obviously want the most negative camber out of them
any pics etc on which way around I have the bolts etc
many thanks
The car just seems to torque steer since the change
must be coincidence as shouldn't effort the steering
I think it really needs a good geo as at blyton on nov 10th so will get it sorted
