Stiff steering on lock to lock

Noticed yesterday when turning the steering lock to lock it becomes stiff on idle
if you give it abit of throttle it makes the power assist more normal
Any ideas please

Checked the fluid levels for pas? Does it whine at all louder than normal?

It seems pretty loud on full lock
I will check the level mate where about is the reservoir please

Turn to full lock, bounce the steering into the end of its travel and back a few times. If it keeps going really loud when hitting the lock then it's pretty sure to be a new pump needed
