Been in a crash, had bonnet replaced which hasn't been prepped/sealed properly/is a cheapo non-genuine part so as soon as it's stone chipped it's rusted to feck. Explains the other missing bits, missing bumper stickers and paint peeling off the wings. Shed.

Did you go up and over the kerb? Is the car quite low? If so you may have just knocked the gear linkage out of position/bent it, I did this when I drove over something on the motorway in my old 172, destroyed the undertray while it was at it. Just a case of adjusting it back into position or...

As Sash already said, early Campus models looked like that, they ran from 55 plates to 56 plates, and this could well have been one which has been left unregistered. Does look a bit sheddy though, wonky splitter, peeling paint on the front, stupid tints etc.
