182s will be newer obviously so probably a tiny bit less likely to break than 172s. 172s look better than 182s. That's about it really.

If you have suitable stuff lying around you can gently bend the top of the door frame back, slide something in that's long enough to hook round the door handle and pull it and get in that way. I had to do it with my 172 when I started it when it was in mid air on ramps, we have the proper kit...
