Tables are good for certain things, I still use them now and again...
But I use CSS for all the styling and positioning of stuff.. much easier that way.
Oh, and IFRAME = no no !!
A defrag wouldn't fix any problems like that. It only reorganises the files to reduce file fragmentation.
anyway, its working for you again and that all that matters.
Check connectivity to the items on the selection list, try changing the selection list to some other files, try re-creating the job. Check an drives are shown as being online etc.
etc.
All seem to randomly fix random problem.
Try the speedtest from the wired computer (the one with a cable connected to the router !)
Switch all the other computer off.
Open task manager and check the networking tab for traffic.. if there is any relative amount of traffic on any of the interfaces you may be infected with...
I've had WD external drives go on me before..
As longy said, take it out the enclosure and direct connect it to your PC. if you still have problem try running various chkdsk utils
The problem seems to affect D800's only.
Dell have been excellent though and a replacement part arrived the next day. They did offer to send a techie out to fit a new motherboard and fan but I just do it myself.
I sometimes use the dell one too. Comes in handy for testing.
Had a couple fans go recently on D800's and its a quick way to test if they are working before opening them up.
What what would give ? You asked if the PC had an N NIC.. if he had a A/B/G NIC he wouldn't be getting 135mbit now would he ? duh ! and if by statement you mean ...
Then, no. It really doesn't
Why are you telling me this ?
Who said otherwise ?
Theoretical as in stupid marketing people.
What they actually mean is 100mbit full duplex, from what I have heard they are pretty damn good though and will handle HD streaming video no probs.
There is more than one brand, make sure you get decent ones (and remember to get two of the same...
You are on 10mbit and should be getting 512kbit which gives you a maximum theoretical upload speed of 64KB/s.
If you're downloading anything at all you will not be able to upload at your full potential.
If your looking for all out speed then you would be better with the cable.
Wifi is CSMA/CA and although cat5/6 uses CSMA/CD you can get full duplex 1GB/s and if you use a switch there are no collisions ergo you will get great speed. If you use direct connect using crossover then theorectically...
Are you serious ?
What standard home wifi other than N will give more than 108mb/s ?
What has his broadband speed got to do with anything ?
Are you from the past ?
I have orca and use orca for editing the tables, but its a pain if you want to add files into the msi install, with admin studio its pretty easy and quick.
