Actually so am I, my mini9 is due to arrive soon and I want to try out OSX on it heh..
I'll probably take an image of the ubuntu install and back it up, then give OSX a try and once i'm bored go back to Linux.
Pretty much any.. it will write to FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS and in most cases after installation will already auto-mount them for you.
To install it will require a Linux partition of some sort.. ext3/4 xfs etc. It will automatically sort it all out for you though.

I use DD Wrf for my Linksys router, as its running a custom linux I basically have access to every option you can imagine now where as with the default firmware it was very locked down.

The only difference is screen size and other obvious things. If you want a power house to play games and run 'juicy' software as you put it.. buy a desktop !
Unfortunately I will have to test IE8 for deploying purposes.
Personally I have used firefox since day 1 and can't see any reason to change. I will hold back on my opinion on IE8 until I've properly tried it.
The computer can request the same IP as it had before sure, but the dhcp would check its tables and realise it's already leased then send out an offer with a different ip etc.
You sure you havent got the xbox or pc setup with a static that conflicts with the DHCP server addressing pool ?

You would get an IP address conflict if that were the case, and what type of DHCP gives out the same address twice ? that's the point of DHCP and lease times. :rolleyes:
