ive seen loads of pics of the inside wheel lifting through a corner, and read about it lots with the clios.
Im not sure however when it happens?
You see I thought it would happen either:
1. on corners you break late into, or
2. those perfect corners you have when you are at the max...
me too - though only really push it 100% on a track. I would advise EVERYONE to find the limit as you can then tell in a situation where YOU are not pushing it to the limit exactly what you need to try and do to recorrect etc....
some of the best days of my life have actually been spent on a...
you must live for today with a thought about tomorrow, but no more than a consideration me thinks. you only take memories when you go and Id suggest the evos gonna brig some very good ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
top work.
i couldnt agree more with largerlout1.
my 172 isnt the most "stuck" car when going through a corner, however it seems to feed back what it is doing to me soooo well. Im sure we all do it sometimes but on track or on a quiet country road Ill actually break just before the corner, or blip the...
ahaaaa!!! your crazy!!!!!! (again Alana Partridge)
I passed my test 1 year ago and bought a 172 as my first car. I am 27 years old though.
basically you just need to be a bit sensible rather than irresponsible. always err on the side of caution.
you could look at it like this - you have a...
V6 over a 350z. just too common, and the V6 has an apeal that is unparalleled by any car.
it sits in its own niche. it really doesnt have a competitor. whenever these discussions come up, not only do people talk about evos, and subarus, but they also talk about 350z and S2000 and even other...
off to the dealership on Tuesday. so many things need to be sorted - 4k rattle, engine mounts, knocking of suspension, and general build quality stuff.
Im not that fussed though as its the nuts of a car!!!!!!!
My clutch lasted less than 10,000 as well. I think CUP8OYs comments about "driving the car like its stolen each time" - are pretty relevant for me also though.
im at 23k kms and the second ones starting to get high and hard.
again, excuse my ignorance, but could someone explain:
1. what exactly a higher pressure does to the grip, handling and feel of the car
2. why you would have different pressures at the front and the back.
cheers all
Martin
cheers CUP8OY - i also go through a clutch in 6 months and seem to be getting to the same stage with the clutch that has been in there now for the second 6 months. I dont ride the clutch however acclerate hard most of the time (thats the fun bit of this car) and i also slow down through the...
cheers CUP8OY and Dogmaul - it looks like its all part and parcel of driving the car hard then me thinks.
Just out of interest - how frequently do you go trhough clutches? CUP8OY?
thanks again
Ive just ordered the Philips ones though as they dont seem to be that orange. Ive heard people say that they are a "bit" orange, but i hadly think you can tell!
domaul - I would also appreciate someone xplaining exactly what it is to slip the clutch as i seem to go through clutches quite quickly and would appreciate a tip on how not to!!!
cheers mate
Martin
mate - sorry to see that. Ive got a 4 foot long deep scratch in my rear bumper that happened WHEN THE CAR WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP being repaired.
I came out to the car after they gave me the keys and it was there right the way down the bumper. I was FURIOUS:@
They said theyd fix it - booking...
must say that mk1 in red look gorgeous. sooo nice. first ive seen to be honest.
Mk 1 from the front, wheels, and colour stitching in seat
Mk2 from the back, headlights and creature comforts
Id love a V6, and tbh personally would have one over an evo - as it just looks better. It also SOUNDS better as well. it is MUCH lower tho.
The thing is that we all defend the V6s RELATIVELY slow straight line performance in exactly the opposite way to how we often ATTACK other cars:
ie - i...
don think the rust is a prob mate - someone told me it was simply because i hadnt taken th car out for a good drive recently.
think its because its been rested up for a while.
i think????
oops - i posted up a checky comment about how i found cliosport and its been deleted!!!!!!! sorry all.
Basically when I was thinking about getting a 172 did a search on google and found this place. checked it most days since. Live in Oz.
Ben - thanks mate - got it now.
is that illegal then? what other effects does it have? noise? emmissions etc...? why doesnt everyone do it?
cheers again
