nope your spare key wont ever code to your car, you need a new one, you say the light isnt flashing, open the key up and make sure the button has not come away from the circuit board, slide the key apart and then prise the circuit board away from the casing
if you have a slot with no fuse, and it has metal contacts in the slot, its likely to be for something, however, if your wipers worked before its pretty obvious its not a case of a missing fuse
if you dont know which fuse it is, check them all it doesnt take long
though Matt's diagnosis is...
working in Renault parts as i do, it will definitely be as Matt has suggested, the switches are common for coming away from the circuit board, it WILL be this
be careful not to lose the switch when you open the key
Nick how many keys have you dealt with ?.......i have dealt with around 300+...
yup this is true lol, but with just the type code into dialogys, if a part is different according to build date, it asks you, in fact it informs you the exact date of the change, personally id think doing it manually would be a lot easier, and more accurate, than using a reg
the parts system is designed and made by Renault, the parts stock/sales, the car sales, and service systems will be whatever software the dealer chooses to use, so not integrated really
trust me, we wish it bloody did
in most cases it does, but not all, Renault in their wisdom register some cars on the parts system under the Vin ONLY, which makes it a proper ball ache, and when people go putting private plates on that just makes things worse
john which warrington one did you...
alloys and lowering seem to be allowed by the CS modding nazi's, as long as they are not tacky lol
personally the only mods id do to something like a 1.2 is lower it 35mm and keep it tidy
as above, ive wasted an absolute f**k load of money on modding cars, now im older and have the Furby, i really wish i hadnt !
a tidy standard car, even if its a 1.2 can be appreciated by an enthusiast just like a tidy 172 etc
if you can, get one without a sun roof, they just leak
check the heaters work on all settings, i.e. 1-4
check the gear gaitor is secure
check the 3rd brake light works
check the hazard switch works
check for play in anti roll bar outer bushes
if its a 1.2 16v make sure you drive it, and...
it depends on the spec of the car really as to whether it has hands free opening/closing or if it has hands free opening/closing + starting, or whether it doesnt have any hands free functions at all
basically yes, i spoke to a mobile key fella not so long ago about the key cards, and he said the kit is coming out so that they can do them, but at the minute the machines are too pricey and the 'blank' cards actually cost more than they do from us (dealer), so they cant compete on price even...
dont buy em off Ebay, they are nothing more than paper weights, they are locked to the chassis number they have been supplied for
the programme charge comes in because you have to programme them with 'clip', which is also the diagnostic computer, so its taking that away from being used for...
yup your looking at around £200 for a card, they do NOT cost anywhere near £15 to buy in from Renault, far from it
7701209137 £95.28+vat
plus the charge for programming which will be £40-£80 depending on the dealer
anyone else starting to realise just how bad the lag can be (Xbox)
at first i didnt really notice it, but when you watch the kill cams knowing you fired first on your target, and the cam showing you not even getting a round off before being killed, you realise your lagging pretty bad
it needs...
