just a heads up, have come across some vehicles that the Renault tunepoint wont work with
if the vehicle has factory fit tom tom sat nav then a Tunepoint wont work with it
the 09-> Clio's had a new part number for a different version of the Tunepoint but we have tried that and it wont work...
lots of people still dont seem to know about this recall, its huge and has been ongoing for ages
EVERY MKII Clio is affected, if their is rust on the catch or locking mechanism they get replaced FOC, if they are not corroded they will be lubed like they are on every service we do, again FOC...
for the sake of all this f'n about you could have just bought a proper one, esp if you get a sparky on the case, i know they are expensive but sometimes its just not worth the hassle
if the plug is different then isnt it pretty obvious its wrong ?
take it back
are you sure it doesnt have a 'double plug'. i.e. and adapter on the end of it which comes off to remove the correct plug, i cant remember which model has this but some of them do
where did you buy the plugs ?
i once bought Bosch plugs on Ebay and before my mechanic went to fit them he checked them and found they were badly made so gave them back to me, they were all sealed up and looked legit when i bought them, i hadnt noticed the electrodes were all wrong

ill have a look on Monday, i work in parts thats why im asking, might save customers some money in future if we have a solution/alternative to using a full loom
thats the prob though isnt it, if it isnt marked on the loom etc, then what do you replace it with, you shouldnt really just guess at a fuse rating as its obviously their for a reason, i had a diesel Koleos the other day which had a similar setup but the fuse on that was marked @ ~ 500A
i cant...
allows you to play music from your mp3 player through the OE headunit keeping all your steering controls aswell, its a nice bit of kit if you dont want to change the headunit and have to buy loads of adapters
on the Clio wiring loom is a fuse which is kinda built into the loom, have any of you ever found a part number for a replacement or know of any methods/parts to replace it
on the parts prog (dialogys) and to the best of my knowledge it isnt available sep from the full loom which is ~£400+vat...
Re: Possible new splitter found!!
Skoda FTW, i love owning one, the parts are very cheap, so is main dealer servicing, cheap tax, insurance, and excellent mpg :)
most dealers have the pollen filter as an optional item, and reduce the cost of the service to suit
its optional at our dealers and we charge less for a service than Liverpool, this is one reason why
personally i change my own every year
