Got a budget of between 2 and 300 quid.
2004 182, 105k miles, has recently had all belts done water pump etc, new brakes and fluid, new tyres.
So prob going to.have a few hundred quid to spend on general improvements..
I'm thinking-
New front cup shocks- £90 renparts
New rear shocks £45 eBay...
Went to change the discs and pads and the first one I've taken off has not t45 screws to hold the disc on. The nuts obv hold the whole thing on but will I die if these are not fitted?
Hi folks- fairly newish here but have been taking good advantage of the guides and classifieds!
One problem I've had i with a lot of photos being posted not showing when I click on threads- screenshot attached-
It's a bit of a pain when I'm looking at a guide or an advert..
I have a photobucket...
He just does the Ecu reading apparently.
Recommended by my regular garage who I do trust. Didn't charge much either but then he just spent about 30 min checking and deleting old codes, then running the engine to check live ones.
Take your point on board though.. mibbe need to go see a specialist!
So have done my reading on here, tried replacing coil pack, leads and plugs with the proper ones- still have slight misfire on idle, map sensor working ok, got a basic one reader that detected a misfire on cylinder 2 so replaced the injector.
Still idling rough/lumpy. Took it to an ecu...
Funnily enough my air filter just above it and some kind of adjuster or motor? at the back had popped out. Pushed it back in but doesn't seem to have sorted it..
Would that not knock both out? Only one side affected. Think it'll be a bumper off, light off kinda fix anyway. Bumper is pretty easy to get off from what I've read on here at least!
As per above- pointing downwards.. is this probably a problem with the infamous fragile adjuster in the headlamp that I've heard about? Is it a relatively easy fix if so or is there an outside chance it's one of the level sensors- either front or Back?
Cheers.
Changed the head unit from standard to a Bluetooth one I had. All went well then realised the passenger door speaker isn't working. Only got the car recently so may have been like that already but not sure.
Is this a common problem? Should I start at the speaker end or take the stereo out again...
Taking my wheel off and when removing have pulled the red and black horn wires from the squib. Not had the squib out yet and aware problems with the horn wires are common but is it easy enough just to solder them back on? Will I need to remove the steering angle sensor from the squib to do so...
Ta for that! Does it just it lift out with the centre console still in place or is that me being too hopeful? Think a new Haynes will need to be purchased soon!
I have a replacement gearstick with the plastic base. Just looking for a basic how to! Have had a look at the centre console from inside, just don't want to be tryi g to take owt out blind in case there's hidden screws I don't know about.
Hi folks. I've tried searching but can't find a "how to" to replace the gearstick with a newer replacement. It's a 182 and just a straight swap- not sure if im just not using the right phrase or words in the search fields.
Can anyone help?
Ta.
